(This wasn't getting any play in Sly's thread. I'm SUCH an attention seeker!)
Sooooo.......my wife returned from Cambodia yesterday as she was on a business/missions trip. Last evening she's, like, "I bought a bunch of great gifts for everyone...including you, honey!!"...and proceeds to pull purses, jewelry, and the like out of her bag. She finally gets to my presents and described the public market store she was in, all the many items they had...including some in the "behind the showcases" section. So, she then trots out these outstanding name brand (albeit, I'm certain, knockoff) items as pictured, below.
I laughed when she told me how much she paid for these items:
Omega Watch - $65
Rolex Submariner Watch - $67
Oakley Sunglasses - $2
Ray-Ban Sunglasses - $2
Heh, what can I say. It's very interesting to me, though, that these items look, feel, and operate like the genuine article. Everything there is made in Viet Nam and/or China.
PS: I'm willing so sell the Rolex (if my wife will agree). Those are a bit pretentious/ostentatious, IMO.
