Greg Anthony says Lillard's the best

Yes, when you understand assists, you think of Stockton, Magic, Nash. Not Lillard.

I think he has the skill set needed, he just hasn't been given the role or accepted the role, one or the other.

You are missing the point of Greg Anthony's comment. It wasn't "best ever". It's the best in the game today. Name me the PGs playing now that are better

So, just so we're clear, I'm pointing out that comparing Damians #'s to Nash's prime stats (which is what Marazul did) is dumb..you do realize that, don't you?

"Guys, don't hate me. I was only kidding! :MARIS61: "

Why is it dumb? If you are going to say he is the best, then he should be comparable to the best.

Well it sort of struck me as odd. The best today doesn't even come close to the best that has played. Sure he's good, and he does have the skills but they are not being used like the best ever have done.
Just think how this team could benefit from a distributor like he could be if the skills were applied for the benefit of the team efficiency.

How many of those other top 5 point guards are getting Nash and Stockton like numbers? How many did Russell have last night? Let's go over some other lines. D Rose. J Wall?

The game changed. Its not played like it was 25 years ago. Take that into considersation when critiquing his game.

Um, fortunately Greg Anthony didn't say "The best ever". It's weird you keep hanging onto anyone thinking that right now

Marazul did make this thread interesting.

He deserves to be rep'd for that.

Do you see lack of talent a the thing that will prevent him from getting to Best Ever?

That conversation is something you have when he's in his prime. I do admire that you believe he's in his prime only 3 years in the league

my question is why do you want one of if not the best shooter ive ever seen to only pass it? He's scoing when he's open and he's driving and dishing when needed.

Nobody should be in their prime after only three years. Only a fool would think someone had peaked after three years.

not only that but he is on a team with an offensive scheme that uses multiple passes and he's generally the person to start it so a lot of the extra assists a nash would get go to a batum or a matthews or an aldridge.

What do you think is holding him back now? Will the list of Magic, Stockton, Nash expand to, Magic, Stockton, Nash and Lillard?

What held Nash back? He's had less assists than Lillard his first 3 years.

Look at the high light of Rudy to Lamarcus for the high Percentage jam! See Magnifier66. A thing of beauty!
No reason Lillard don't get about 4 of those to work a night. Then Rolo, about Meyers too?

You have to excuse marazul. He still thinks a point guard should be like bob Cousy.

Naw, Nash will do, perhaps even Stockton. Magic might be out of range.

However, Cousy was pretty damn good. I did practice some of his shtick.

if nash could drill 40 footers like it was nothing and could dunk on tim duncan i might consider him as good as lillard
