Bill Madden of the Daily News is saying that Greg Bird is faking his Injury and should get on the Field or be Released...... He's hurt you Idiot. Check it out at www.DailyNews.com.

Bill Madden's article must definitely be "fake news"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol

Still too early to say. I'm a year into a wrist injury that just won't heal, finally gave up babying it and wrap the heck out of it and go broke broke in the gym. The harder I work it the better it seems now although it throbs on a rainy day. Same with a quad pull years ago body surfing summer swells with dive fins. Damaged a nerve that nerfed all sensation. Took 9 months before the feeling came back.

Structural healing is only one aspect. And being off is pretty distracting in everyday life, I can't imagine how that would impact a high caliber athlete. I liked Girardi's defense, you can't know what the kid is experiencing.

I broke my Ankle when I lived in Florida and to this day every time it Rains or it's extremely Humid it acts up.

seems historically there's been one exception to time healing,... one word: Pavano.
Fkr fell on his ass, didn't injure his spine, yet took years to prove he was a hypochondriac. Didn't he have hangnail issues too???

I hear ya' on Bird, tho' as mentioned prior, one who has had shoulder surgery of his type(s), will on the norm have repetive probs for a career to come. Now the ankle? Who knows? I still doubt we will ever see Bird play at the brief high level we once did.... Not holding the breath to see Bird ever return, and if so, I'd be surprised if consistency with his game is a calling card, & injuries I expect to plaque his career; could be brief....?
