Certainly there is little chance of him becoming a legit outside threat staying with the wonky shot mechanics he's currently got going and without that, little chance he ever becomes a big part of any team's plans. He starts his shooting motion low, which gives the D a good shot at blocking/affecting the shot before it leaves his hands. He then brings it up across his face instead of to the same side of the head as his shooting hand which makes a repeatable motion & release point near impossible. With ball in front of his face instead of above his head, he generates power from his arms not his legs. It's along the same issues that both Lonzo and Derrick Jones had/have.Lonzo shot over 30-33% from threes his first years but yes made some changes to his form and got much more accurate. Thats probably one of the best examples. But also very rare, and I'd say Greg is very far away from being a 30-33% three point shooter.
I just see Greg as you say a fringe roster player with no realistic chance to become more.
Every day is a chance to change and he's got plenty of time to do so.
