If there is a bright spot it's Greg Oden. The guy is slowly getting into game shape and he's putting up extremely impressive numbers in limited minutes. I can't wait to see the impact he'll bring when he's in shape and plays 35 mpg. Impressive.

The last three games where Oden played 20+ minutes.

15.3 PPG
9.6 PPG
3.0 BPG
65 FG%
25.3 MPG

Oden is finally getting into shape.

Who thought that LMA would be the one that looks like he doesn't fit, though? He needs to find his game with Oden in the line-up.

About early in the game where he rebounded the ball and still finished on the fast break by getting a AND 1. Was that telling or what?

I'm beginning to wonder if aldridge can fit in. With oden in I'd like my pf to have more agility and handles. Anyone else feeling the same?

I sure as hell loved what I saw of Oden tonight....

I agree. I'm actually surprised at LMA's lack of ball handling ability. I'm firmly in the Al Horford bandwagon.

You want Dirk? Dallas would do it. I think GO and LA need a whole season together for us to really know. Although I am sure Colin Coward could tell you after the first time down the floor.

Horford ain't going anywhere.

LMA will be fine ... he's defintely way off on his game right now, but I believe fully that he'll come around. Tonight he wasn't hitting his shots and was the victim of some pretty atrocious officiating.

I don't think Aldridge and Oden have played more than 10min on the floor at the same time.

Give it time. Rudy and Roy don't even look comfortable together at times. Should KP get rid of one of them?

"Let the cake bake"

I think it's time to put GO in the starting lineup. If anything, so the fans can finally welcome him to Portland in the starting lineup. Man, I'm actually thinking about flying back to PDX tomorrow to catch the game.

Oh give me a break. It's a few bad games as everyone adjusts to Oden playing more. Aldridge in time should be the perfect compliment to Greg. Yes he didn't play well while he was in, but the refs took him out of the game, in this case it really is that simple. It comes down to one of two things - the refs are either completely incapable, or completely corrupt. Because nobody can call a game like that otherwise.

Corey Maggette's new name is Corey Laimbeer. He was flopping all night long.

How about Sergio's increase in minutes? Got to admit he deserves them. The more he plays the better he gets. I am ready for Bayless to get a few more too.

Do it.

But the cake can't bake if some of the ingredients are off.

You can't know that after only 10 minutes in the oven.

Actually, maybe you can, idk. I'm not a cook.

You get my point though.

I don't think so. LaMarcus has had a few good games but since Oden has played 20+ minutes in the last three games LaMarcus has completely vanished. In those games LMA is shooting an abysmal 40% from the field and looks totally out of sync.

I'd like to see him start in the first real home game he'll play.

I would like to see him start every game ever. At least for the next 15 years.

The officiating sucked tonight and we played horrible but we were down 9 before my tv warmed up.

Is LMA injured still? I think his neck was bothering him wasn't it? Maybe that is what is affecting his game.

Rudy has been off a bit the last few games. He's playing well, but tonite he was 4-11 and I think the last few games has been like that.

Like I said, it's an adjustment period. I've seen enough of Aldridge, and I would have hoped you had to, to know he's the real deal. You're clearly worked up, spouting off emotional responses, give it a few days. He'll be back. Honestly, how can you really look at Aldridges game and think he's not a great compliment to Oden? Take a breath.

... And did I mention how the refs anally abused him this evening?

thank you

Aldridge missed some shots he'll normally hit. Also--irrespective of the level of the officiating--he will get experience on how to exploit smaller guys being on him in the post.

No reason to give up on him just yet.

Oden looks like he's improving with every game, though. His conditioning CAN'T be all the way to 100%, but he still was able to run and move much better than he had previously. It's exciting.

Ed O.

Agreed. Just like how people were writing Oden way too early, we can't write off the combo of LaMarcus and Greg. Those guys should eventually develop into a nice duo with Oden inside and Aldridge outside.
This is still a long work in progress, and with Martell coming back, it'll be another process until we're fully healthy.

By mid-season, LMA and GO will be a top three 4/5 tandem in this league.

It just does not make sense they would not complment each other. True you never know. But with the skills LMA has logic says it will work. True he is not a great ball handler, but he does everything else very well. It will work.
