Greg Oden looks great!

Sorry guys, you know me. Don't know how to post large pics on here.

That's funny, I remember him being the best Blazer nigh instantly. He had 5 blocks and 12 boards his first game in 26 foul plauged minutes. If he was out of shape imagine the beastiness when he gets in shape. His biggest problem was that we had ZERO perimeter defense which limited his effectiveness to say the least. His offensive numbers probably would have been better if we had gotten him the fucking rock once in awhile when he had position.

Yeah, I'm a little surprised at the people who felt Oden was overweight and out of shape once games started last year. He may have been slightly heavier than ideal, which was understandable due to how long he had to wait before full-out activity, but he was far from overweight and he was moving really well...laterally, up and down the court and getting up in the air to rebound and challenge shots.

I'd also prefer he was more David Robinson, in frame, than Shaq...but I didn't think he was remotely as wide as Shaq last year.

I'm still looking for that pic one of you guys put on here with Rebecca from the last home game.

Sorry guys. I was conned by Blazers Players, Blazers Staff, and Blazer Reporters last time Greg "looked great". He was totally out of shape and wasn't allowed to get into shape until after the season started.

Can I get an AMEN!"

I refuse to get sucked in again.

Five-hour drills.. woah. That will definitely slim him down, just don't over do it.

Exactly and lets hope we are working him out SMARTER than before when he apparently over strengthened "parts" of his leg area muscles which may have contributed to his injury. And that we are using more of the new and apparently successful "Phoenix trainer" approach that they have had such good results with. Five hours a day by itself does not impress me, doing it right does.

But, but...he is too apathetic about basketball! He doesn't care! Blah blah blah rabble rabble!

I think it's funny that there are so afraid to believe he'll be healthy that they're so pessimistic. It's fucking basketball, not life or death.

I expect GO will dominate this year and play at least 70 games. 16 points, 12 boards, 3 blocks and 2 assists. He'll be named the NBA's Most Improved Player.

Five hours a day? Next he'll have tendonitis. Can't Medina to anything in moderation?

Greg is going to be a MANSTER this year. Yes, I have my hopes up!!! :)

I am very optimistic especially if they have reevaluated and improved his workouts

Looks like he's about where he was last season before injury, which is good.

Eliot Williams and Greg reha ... erm ... working out together apparently:

Just finished working out with g. Oden! Great guy about 2 hours ago via Echofon

Plus the camera adds about 10 lbs............ He does look good for Aug 1. I thought it might take a few more months of activity to shed the extra pounds. But weight wise he looks ready to go.

Did I hear Barrett right on Courtside just now? Is Greg at Tim Gurgrich's camp? If so, that's fantastic.

He was working out with Elliot Williams earlier today so I dunno. I also thought Grgurich's camp was last week, though. But if he did go I agree it is fantastic.

Nevermind, I heard it wrong. Bobby Medina is at Gurgrich's camp (Armon and Babbit are participating however).

Babbitt has been busy! He just got back from China playing with Yao!

I like the attitude. Babbitt certainly seems pretty dedicated to getting better ... and after how below average he looked on defense in Summer league it's a good thing he's working hard, or he's never going to sniff the court (which is probably for the best this year anyway).
