Is he going to be ready to play on Day 1? Or are we going to see his debut delayed, and delayed, and delayed?

The real question is whether hell be ready to play on Day 2.

He had surgery on Nov 19, 2010. So add two months to get into shape after a year of rehab, and theoretically, he should be ready by about January.

Hopefully.

From this summer:
Well, it’s one indication that he is on — or nearly on — schedule. In June, Oden’s agent, Bill Duffy, said it could be January 2012 before Oden returns to the court. By comparison, Oden missed 13 months after undergoing microfracture surgery prior to his rookie season. A January return would mean a 14-month recovery from his most recent microfracture surgery, which was performed less than one year after he underwent surgery on the same knee to repair a fractured patella.

I'll go on record now - Oden plays 40 or more games.

I'm going on record as saying that my going on record will have absolutely nothing to do with how many games Oden plays.

Shouldn't we start using the term "going on the CD.... or MP3..... or word document or going on the pdf file?

Don't we need to get him signed to a contract before we even worry about how many games he plays?

I figure that he'll play games somewhere. How many and for whom remains to be seen.

I'm going on the record saying that I miss vinyl records

A reason to hope is simply that it's a contract year. (Boozer effect ) Make or break time as far as a truly big contract goes. We may see a minor miracle for at least a shortened season.

December 9th: Blazer announce they've signed X Free agents, and tendered Greg Oden a 3 year extension (shut up if that's not possible).

December 10th: Blazers announce Greg Oden is out for the whole season.

December 11th: Blazer fans burn down practice facility, find out it was made on top of a Native American burial ground.

December 12th: The world ends a year early.

So we haven't seen Oden play since December 2009. Man! I remember he had strung together a series of great games where he was good on offense and dominating on defense, then snap.
