Greg- Sinus Infection

I think we're fine without Oden. At times, his foul trouble can be a distraction. With Frye playing well lately, we're fine. We have a good record without Oden and the one time we beat the Rockets, Oden didn't play.

Kingspeed, I've disagreed with a lot of your posts in the past, but this one takes the cake. This is downright hilarious, and is sig worthy. Thanks.

Its the playoffs for chrissake. A cold isn't going to keep him from playing.

Actually it seems like he'd be more likely to get Yao sick before anyone else. Hopefully they really bang around on the blocks and Greg blows a snot bomb on him.
directly in yaos mouth....and i mean saliva......

weird post...

Motion to Ban Mixum. Administrators cannot deny that mixum promised everyone on this board he would quit complaining once we made the playoff's. And now that we made the playoff's with HCA, MIXUM should officially be banned for being such a Troll, to go to the extent of informing everyone, in CAPS LOCKS, of how the playoff's work in the National Basketball Association. GTFO

Motion to Ban. Repped

ARE YOU ON CRACK???? With frye we will be allright?!?!? get a clue! This is the playoffs not the 4th quarter vs denver or OKC in a 30 point blowout! Frye does not have a shot in hell in guarding Yao and is a total liabiltiiy on Offense and Defense. We need every Minute Oden can give us! Him and Joel will be the key to us winning this series. Frye will not sniff the the court or else Joel and Oden are both in really bad foul trouble. And that's just a fact.
not only that but scola would even take advantage of frye

Wow. Talk about a fucking meltdown over a pretty inconsequential announcement. I've had a couple of sinus infections in my day (deviated septum from a thrice broken nose doesn't help) and you feel cruddy and it makes it hard to breathe through your nose, but this really shouldn't be anything that keeps him on the sideline ... unless it's something way more serious than a sinus infection.

They'll give him a mega-dose of anti-biotics, shoot him up with some IV fluids (if needed) and away we go.

I have a deviated septum from all the cocaine I be snorting.

Frye has been doing well at PF not C. There's a big difference and when he's had his most problems is playing C.

Ya, but his fouls is such a distraction!

Frye is our third string center in a way. When Greg is out, Frye is the first off the bench for Joel. When both Greg and Joel both get in foul trouble, Frye always comes in. I suppose LMA scoots over to the C position, but Frye is definitely subbed in when the centers go out.

And it's very possible they'll both be in bad foul trouble. PLUS--- from the title of this thread, it appears Oden may not play. In which case, Frye will get minutes. And he'll do fine.

Put me on your petition.

Sweet Jesus Kingspeed, think about what you just wrote.

What? I'm being positive. We're 14-7 without Greg. If Greg has to sit out because of a sinus infection, we are deep enough to survive it. Heck, we beat the Celtics without Brandon Roy! Our team is deep. We'll survive.

The regular season has NOTHING to do with the playoffs, especially a 7 game series against a single elite opponent.

Houston would probably be the absolute worst team for Channing to play against with Scola, Landry, Hayes and Yao on their front-line. Even with Greg in the lineup they are a tough, tough, physical matchup.

It's fine to be positive, but this? ... Oof.

What an interesting thread!

lol @ self editing
lol @ Shooter not noticing it
lol @ Speed's love for Frye
lol @ HailBlazers repping himself

FWIW, on Primetime last night, Quick addressed Greg's "infection" by saying "oh, yeah, I guess he got the sniffles. he'll play."

So, I guess it boils down to if you believe Quick or not. I do believe him. He was at the practice facility yesterday, and he spoke of the sinus infection as a complete after thought.

My point was that Frye's good play of late hasn't been at center, it's been at PF. When he's played center he hasn't done well.
