Trent Grisham will return on the one year qualifying offer.

Unreal...why Grisham accepted the $22 Mil QO is not a surprise but the fact that the Yanx even made that QO is yet another sign that the Yanx' 2026 season will likely be more of the same.

But Gleyber Torres accepting the same $22 Mil QO from the Tigers may be even more of a head scratcher.

Signing and allocating 22 million dollars on Grisham was done intentionally by Cashman and Hal. I now believe that the Yankees will do very little this winter to drop further in Salaries. We are screwed like the Celtics were until new ownership was found and changed that franchises direction.

Michael Kay has said something similar and frankly it does appear this is quite possible. To them Cole returning is like getting a big free agent.

Here's a stat. Cashman has won 1 World Series in 25 years. Enough said!

Yup, I brought that up a couple times...what's worse is that lone 2009 title was won with a roster that was still led by the original "core 4" of Jeter, Posada, Pettitte, and Mo. (all before Cashman's watch)

So Cashman has yet to win WS with a roster purely from his own work. Add to that, his ineptitude with respect to drafting and developing our farm system as well as our conditioning and medical department.

And don't even get me started about the plethora of horrible deals and trades with Cashman's name on them.

...but hey, Hal loves him.
