I like our chances and I love being the underdog in the media.

The year Dallas beat us in the first round, Portland swept them in the regular season and won 8 of their last 10 meetings against them.

What does that tell you? Regular season don't mean shit!

Did I forget to mention that Houston had our number in the regular season, had a better last 10 against us too? How did that work out for Houston last season in the first round, even when they had HCA?

Damn is that Dallas stat true?? If it is, I'll give it to you that's pretty encouraging

Out of all the teams we have a chance of playing (so not DAL) then I would like to play HOU the most.

The NBA would love the rematch angle.

Dont care who we get anymore. Just want the playoffs to start. I have this sneaking feeling that Dame and LA are going to be MONSTERS in the playoffs and we will have 2 of the three best players on the floor regardless of the matchup

It's a pretty general consensus that the Clippers will win out....
If they win out they finish at 56-26, handing Memphis a loss in the process. This would give them the 2nd seed due to better vs West record than the Spurs.

The Spurs have OKC,(who they're owning), Houston twice(series tied 1-1), Suns, and Pelicans to close the season.
With how the Spurs are playing... They could win out and finish 56-26. Which would give them the 3rd seed(series vs clippers tied 2-2), and the division.

The Rockets have Spurs twice, Pelicans, Hornets, and Utah. If they go 3-2 with only losses to the Spurs they finish with a record of 56-26 and locking in @ the 5th seed. Losing the division to the Spurs.(head to head tiebreaker)

Memphis has Pelicans, Utah, Clippers, Warriors, Pacers. If Memphis goes 3-2 to finish the season they finish 55-27 locking them into the 6th seed. However.. If Memphis finishes the season 4-1 beating the Warriors... Then Memphis would finish 56-26 AND leapfrog the Rockets for 5th because they have a better record vs the West than the Rockets would(series tied 2-2). But in this scenario they go 3-2 dropping to 6th in the west.

Portland is locked into the 4th seed and would be playing the Rockets.

Hope I did my math right.

If Spurs and Clips tie for 2-3, Spurs would be the 2 thanks to being a division champ. Except the SW division tie breakers still aren't settled.

For instance, if all three finish 56-26, the Spurs would win due to better record against the other two teams involved (since they would have to beat Houston two more times to reach that record). But if Houston drops one more game and finishes behind both SA and MEM, the Grizz would win the division thanks to conference record.

On top of that, all the teams still play New Orleans once more, and they're still fighting for their playoff lives, so they'll undoubtedly have something to say about all this. Man, that Southwest division is crazy!

You MFs clamoring for the weakest route to the championship are some bitches....

TO BE THE BEST YOU MUST BEAT THE BEST....

If both SAS and LAC finish at 56-26, the second seed goes to SAS as division winner. That's the first tie breaker (assuming, as you predict, SAS takes the SW Division from the Rockets).

Well they would definitely win the division because they would beat Houston twice

Yep, the ONLY way the Clippers take the second seed is if they finish with a better record than all of POR, MEM, HOU and SAS. If they tie with any of those teams, they lose the tie breaker to the division winner.

That's why the loss to BRK was so costly. We still had a chance to tie the Clippers and get HCA in a potential POR vs. LAC 4/5 match up.

Now think about this. If both SAS and PDX win out SAS would be 2nd and PDX be 3rd

Unless the clips lose to Memphis! :)

That game is played in LA, with the Grizzlies having played in Utah the night before and the Clips with more than 3 days rest.

If MEM win that game, I will be shocked.

They only have to win one game! ;)

Against a team that's won 11 of their last 12 - with their only loss being a 4 point loss to GSW.

The Grizzlies have lost 4 of their last 6 and they haven't beaten a playoff team since they beat us back on March 21 in a game where we didn't have Kaman and both Aldridge and Batum sat out the second half. They basically beat the same team BRK beat on Monday. They did beat the 9th place Thunder (gawd, I LOVE saying that) last Friday, but right now OKC isn't a playoff team and certainly isn't on the same level as the Clippers.

Yeah that's my bad. Forgot the clips can't win their division due to Warriors.
Spurs #2 seed if tie'd w/ clips. Clips #3.
