He also voted for every article of impeachment against then-President Clinton for having, and trying to cover up, consensual if sleazy sex with an adult.

He opposes any rights for gays and transpeople because our rights "endanger" children.

As it has now been revealed he molested (at least) four boys, his attorneys are saying loss of status and public shame are enough punishment and he should face no jail time.

Hillary is now taking media criticism, supposedly from the left, that Bill signed an anticrime bill in 1994 which made prison sentences much longer. What really happened is that Republicans started the longer sentences under Reagan, liberals as usual were afraid to oppose a Republican bandwagon, and then rich conservatives installed the most conservative and blackmailable yet electable Democrat of the day, Bill Clinton, who would follow conservatives on such issues without trying to lead them or get in their way. With no opponents, new draconian legislation kept being created long after 1994.

Who would lead them? A half-dozen reactionary Republicans including Dennis Hastert, Strom Thurmond, Robert Livingston, and Newt Gingrich. All had sex secrets. Now, conservative Hillary takes it from both ends on prison sentences...Bill had his little temporary secret, but Bill's opponents, who tried so hard to ruin him, had bigger and more lifelong secrets. It was those leaders, far more than 1994 follower Bill, who are responsible for the superlong prison sentences that have made millions of American men live out on the cold streets, tens of millions live in paranoia, wiped out the 60s rebellious spirit among black people, and turned this country so reactionary compared to Europe.

The media currently reports Bill's 1994 signature more than it does the hypocrisy of Dennis Hastert. They appear to be separate issues, but are actually closely-related as I just showed. If Black Lives Matters people aren't old enough to remember the connection, then older reporters should fill in the gaps in their articles, but they aren't doing it.

As to the initial post in this thread, Hastert is a hypocrite of the first order who's abuse of young boys robbed them of their childhood innocence and probably left scars that will last a lifetime. I hope he gets no mercy from the courts.
