Re: Guess who's backkkkk

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NEW YORK -- Roger Clemens returned to the New York Yankees, making a dramatic announcement to fans from the owner's box during Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Clemens, who is close friends with Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte, said Pettitte is going to be upset with him because he kept the news quiet. The two talked as recently as Saturday night and Clemens didn't share the news. "It's time to go to work," Clemens said. "I've got a lot of work to do, to get back up here."</div>Watch out Red Sox, the rocket is back :worthy:

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

I heard this a few minutes ago.. I wish he'd just retire already..

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

that sucks for the rest of baseball but the yanks still need a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th starter

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

And the Yanks will spend all of that money again, and go down in the first round.Again.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

Yankees will eventually learn they need to stop wasting money on names.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

In other news, Neifi Perez just hit a three run shot. Also in Canada, a pig was just seen flying in the air.Seriously, this is something you'll see once in a lifetime. Perez hitting a homer isn't just rubbing in the opponent's face, it's raping it's wife and kicking it's dog while eating their roast beef for dinner.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

Jesus, he'll make 28 mil, 4.5 mil a month. 28 mil in 1 year is the highest ever.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

Clemens is so overrated at this point in his career. All you get from him is a half of year of pitching, and even at that he dosent put up that good of numbers. It just bugs me how he feels hes so special to wait almost half of the year, to make a decision on what team he goes to.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

They're going to need him. The Yankees pitching is the essence of sh*t right now.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

Yankees are going to have a much better month with the addition of Clemens, if he can stay healthy. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. GO YANKEES!

He might not have pitched for the first quarter of the season the past two years, but that is no different than these guys that get hurt every year and miss seven starts.Clemens still has one of the best ERA's in baseball every year. He still has alot of strikeouts throughtout the season. His fastball still has good velocity on it, he locates his pitches well still, his breaking balls have decent movment. He is a good pitcher still, and still one of the best in the big leagues if you ask me, after all of this time. It was awesome for the Yankee's to get him, with all of the pitching rotation problems they have been having. I still don't see them overtaking the Red-Sox this year though, I really think it's their year.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

1 Year - $28 Million for a 40+ Year old pitcher. I don't know why I'm stuck on playing basketball when baseball is where the money is.

Last year he had a 3.63 ERA, and he was 19-6...He definately doesn't suck...Mike Mussina is also a good pitcher. If Roger does really well, and Phil Hughes comes back, then the Yankees won't be that terrible pitching wise. They were just terrible to begin the year cause Wang was injured, they didn't have Roger, and Phil Hughes didn't make his starts yet either...

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

Cubs are on fire right now. Who cares about Rocket? Psh. Though Soriano is a major letdown STILL.

It's been like a month at least, and that contract is pretty damn big, he basically bought us the right to expect a lot.

Re: Guess who's backkkkk

He goes 0-4, 1-5 and gets 2 Ks, that's what. That's bad for a batter in general.

Look are ERA and opponet AVG, walks, and strikeouts. The bullpen and Rivera blew a few so far this year.
