Strength is our unity? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Strength is our unity says we're only united when we're strong, i.e. we'll crumble if we lose.

Unity is our strength says we're strong because we're united, i.e. don't break up the winning formula.

Clearly, the second is what Dame meant.

No "strength is in our unity" means when the Blazers are united they are a strong team...if we traded players away it would hurt our unity and we wouldn't be as good

enough of this crap, if we can make a trade to improve the team for the next several years you do it, you don't sacrifice a good chance to improve a .500 team because of "unity", if a good trade does not come along then fine, keep the team together

I'm glad to see the team lobby to stay together. Shows how much they like being with one another.

If we have a great offer to make a deal I think Neil pulls the trigger. He told Eric Gordon he wasn't trading him then two days later sent him packing for CP3. If that happens the team will deal with it. Or if its Hendo being shipped out and Neil tells the team thats what Hendo wanted they'll all be fine with it.

But Dame's statements gives them something to be excited about and if the core sticks together say we all wanted to be here. It probably helps the players feel like Dame really has their back.

Compare that to selfish asshole Kobe who was cussing on camera because the Lakers didn't trade away his young teammates for a washed up Jason Kidd. Dame's job is to get along with teammates and be the face of the franchise; which he is excellent at. Neil still has a job to do and he will make the smart decisions.

I doubt Dame will make the all nba team. Last year he only got 22 points, which was 100 less than the 3rd team PG Kyrie Irving. It was also 30 less than the 4th place John Wall.

Lillard has zero chance of beating out Curry or Paul, and the East coast is going to get at least one of their guys in.

Well, that saves the team some scratch later.

Lillard is worth 3 1st rnd picks
CJ is worth 2 1st nd picks
Plums 1 1st rnd pick
Meyers 1 1st rnd pick
Crabbe 1 1st rnd pick

That's 8 1st rnd draft picks, imagine the fun we could have!

We'd have a team that would make the college final 4 every season!

Seeing how well Olshey drafts we could eventually trade the 8 players we draft for 16 1st round draft picks.

Then we could trade those players and eventually own every pick in the draft!
