Yes but you don't seem as passionate about democracy.
The right to protest is a form of democracy. Do you speed? I guess you aren't passionate about democracy either. Your logic is flawed...

They broke the law and probably going to get punished. The story is the sign of protest of the government taking civil liberties away.

I'm passionate about humanity ...I also try to keep nationalism in perspective. I imagine a vastly changed structure in the distant future...now, it was a mess when I was born and will be when I die....probably without my jetpack. Sneering in general is pretty much the opposite of civil behavior but we have the liberty to sneer. I think it gets in the way. People are going to go at it and think being loud makes them right, or being tougher makes them invulnerable. Killing two people because I get punched and mugged and thinking that's a great ending is kind of what worries me.

Im passionate about humanity as well. I think we should be more concerned with pharma companies lobbying bans on natural remedies because they can't patent it for profit. I like fighting for all civil liberties because they were designed to protect a melting pot of ideology. I don't like abortion, but I agree that government cannot force one to make a choice they don't want to do. I support gay marriage because that's our civil right as well.

It's when groups pick and choose (both establishments do it) is when unity is not possible. I wish political parties didn't exist because they've really fucked things up.

Mags needs to learn how to google and how to make a coherent argument.

Did I say mags? I meant SlyPokerDog.

The government didn't take anything away. This is what the voters in Washington voted for:

Have you answered why you aren't passionate about democracy by speeding?

Um... The vote doesn't warrant protest. There was a law that women couldn't vote and women protest, even got arrested. Are you against the freedom to protest and freedom of assembly?

They're protesting that they can no longer sell guns to criminals, wife beaters, illegals and terrorists privately. They're protesting over private sales background checks.

And as far as your speeding analogy goes, that's the same as being against the speed limit so you drive 100mph in front of a grade school. "Hey, the speed limit is 15mph there, this will really show them!"

No it's like going 5 miles over the speed limit because you really don't want to follow the law.

Could a highway patrol give you a ticket for going over 5 miles over the speed limit?

welcome to the world of world news...is there a visa required to talk about protest outside the US or would you just rather not contemplate the issue?
China doesn't have a constitution that allows its citizens to protest. Try again...

That young man died..he tried to protest exactly that and this is how you respond? Humanitarian passion? I need to post this on the oxymoron thread
You are arguing my "protesting in America" with protests in China. It's a tragedy, but if that happened in the US, heads in the government would roll.

I was in Taipei the moment that happened, the whole city went silent for over a day..no radio, music, nothing ..don't make it about me trying again...you missed the point for the sake of argument

My argument is "Americans fighting for their civil rights by legally protesting". China made it illegal and killed those that opposed their regime. There were millions killed in their pursuit of socialism that turned to communism.

ROSEBERG OREGON RESIDENTS SAY SCHOOL SHOOTING SHOWS WHY CITIZENS MUST BE ARMED

ROSEBURG-oregon-shooting-getty-640x480.jpg

Residents in Roseberg, Oregon, are rallying around the Second Amendment in the wake of the heinous attack on Umpqua Community College (UCC), suggesting the attack itself is proof of why citizens need to be armed for self-defense.
According to the Associated Press, Roseberg is a mill town surrounded by hunting and fishing opportunities, and one where many residents say they do not leave home without a handgun for self-defense. They do not carry because crime is high, but because crime is low and they want to keep it that way.

Consequently, residents like J.C. Smith believe the attack at UCC was made possible by the fact that the school denied the exercise of Second Amendment rights to its students. Smith suggests that “barring people from carrying guns on campus made it particularly vulnerable to a ‘lone wolf’ attack” like the one witnessed Thursday.

Casey Runyan, a disabled Marine, said he carries to protect himself and pointed to the UCC attack as proof of the need to be ready to do so. Runyan said he carries a Glock handgun “everywhere he goes.” He added, “All my friends agree with me. That’s the only kind of friends I have.”

Roseberg sits in Douglas County, where Sheriff John Hanlin drew attention to himself by fighting an expansion of gun control in 2014. He fought hard against expanded background checks–gun control’s Trojan Horse–even sending a letter to Vice President Joe Biden expressing his conviction that the laws being pushed were “offending the constitutional rights of [Douglas County] citizens.”

On October 2–the day after the heinous attack on UCC–Sheriff Hanlin made clear that his views remained the same and gun control is not the solution to stopping attacks like the one carried out in Roseberg.

For the last time, I'm pro gun. I own guns. I like guns.

I am not pro everybody should have a gun.

This weird "You're either completely with us or you're completely against us" narrative that you, Marazul and Maris have is getting old.

Are you pro for people to get illegal drugs like Heroin? How is our federal government batting average to eliminate these drugs from America?

If someone wants something illegal, they can still get them.

And let's talk about the unibomber, Boston Marathon terrorists or the psycho that blew up the fed building in OKC? Crazy people can still kill a ton of people without firing a single shot.

I'm against heroine, cocaine, and most other drugs currently considered illegal.

I'm also against foreign and domestic terrorism.

I'm also for background checks for all gun sales because like I just said I am against foreign and domestic terrorism.

Maybe we should adopt New Hampshire's gun laws.
