LOL! Do you even know what you're arguing about? It's like you make up a person's stance and then argue against that.

Sorry my friend but I never said people couldn't kill people without guns. I appreciate you googling and posting those things but you're arguing against something I never said or believe.
You've done it numerous times. Like "denny wants a ban on hammers."

Psssst. Tell Mags basketball season has started........

These sickos did this two miles down my house.

The two inadvertently left their weapons behind, and then drove Yoon’s body to Mexico, where it was dumped over the edge of a ravine...

Gotta love an international border you can drive your car across and dump a body in a ravine unseen.

There aren't background checks in half the states, if not more.

I thought background checks are required if you are purchasing from a federally licensed gun dealer no matter the state.

They are absolutely forbidden by The Second Amendment, and several other amendments, so I guess I need to know your definition of "required".

There are always going to be background checks. As there should be.

There aren't any Constitutionally allowed background checks in America.

And there never will be.

If someone is attempting to coerce you into revealing personal information by withholding your right to bear arms it is they who are committing a crime, probably several.

If people can illegally obtain meth or drugs smuggled across the border, they will illegally get whatever guns they want.

I'm not aware of any of these killings that would have been stopped by any of the recent proposals here.

It's like closing the barn door after the chicken escaped from the neighbor's chicken coop.

Effectiveness is the least important consideration. The perception of effectiveness is all that matters, especially if it's a chance to rub conservatives noses in something. At least that's the way it seems to me.

Uh huh.

Yes, we know. You believe criminals, illegals and terrorists should have easy access to guns.

As Denny pointed out, you like to ascribe false positions to people who disagree with you.

I believe that all legal citizens of America have the absolute right to bear arms, but more importantly, the founders of our country believed that, based on their personal experiences under British gun control, it was the only way to insure America would remain a free country.

Cut off everyone's trigger fingers. Cut out everyone's vocal cords so they can't yell "fire!" in a crowded theater, too.

Effectiveness is the most important consideration.

Poll taxes restricted black peoples' right to vote. Waiting period restricts women's right to abortion. All that's being proposed restricts a fundamental bill of rights right in a similar fashion.
