The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Iowa Energy 112-99 in front of a sold out crowd at the Sanford Pentagon Wednesday night. Justin Hamilton continued his strong play with 27 points and 13 rebounds to help Sioux Falls improve to 13-11 all-time on Christmas Night.

Sioux Falls (9-2) led 23-20 after the first quarter and 47-45 at halftime. DeAndre Liggins posted nine points and seven rebounds in the first half.

Moses Ehambe made a 3-pointer with 8:39 in the third quarter to give Iowa (7-4) its first lead (54-52) since leading 2-0. Sioux Falls went on a 17-5 run to push the lead to double figures (69-59) but Iowa responded with a 13-1 spurt to take a 72-70 lead. Sioux Falls led by as many as 14 points in the final quarter and improved to 7-1 at home.

A.J. Davis scored 19 points while Liggins nearly posted a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. Larry Drew II posted his first double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-high 12 assists.

Kalin Lucas recorded 21 points and eight assists in defeat. Othyus Jeffers posted 19 points and 11 rebounds while Jarvis Varnado contributed 12 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks.

Sioux Falls hosts Los Angeles Friday at 7 p.m. CT. Iowa returns home to face Maine Friday at 7 p.m. CT.
