MRI confirms Portland G Brandon Roy has a right hamstring strain. He is listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. Orlando.

I say we sit Roy and let Rudy be Rudy for a couple of games. Let's see what we have. We got the depth. Let's use it!

I have watched Orlando the last 2 nights. They look really, really bad. They have no offense in the paint. The only thing I am worried about is Howard getting a bunch of offensive rebounds.

so critical mass for guard situation gets put off for a while, problem with pulled hammy's is that they can linger for a LONG time unless you let them fully heal

Sit him! Don't want it getting worse. Give Bayless some run!

yeah really! Give JayBay some time at the reins again. Let him start over the recovering rudy! He did a good enough job before.

Ugh, we actually have a chance to win this game and Roy may not play...fuck this season sucks balls

Bayless and Rudy can cover it, Bayless gets majority while Rudy gets in shape. But we know Blakey will get a lot of those minutes don't we?

yeah fair to say. Although Bayless (if doing decently) should get more than Blake and Rudy (individually)

Any word on how minor of a strain the MRI showed? As in, anything more than just lingering scar tissue?

blame all the iso 1-4 crap he loves to do...he need no easy bucket he be supamann

I was thinking the same. The conventional wisdom is that the injury situation has forced Roy to play too hard and too much, but I think I'm more of the opinion that Roy has put a little too much onto his own shoulders instead of sharing the load more with his teammates.

I too would like to see him sit a game or two, and to relinquish control a little bit when he returns. When he plays like he did against LA (just picked his spots where he could be the most efficient/effective), I think it serves the team better than when everything flows through him all the time.

I literally mentioned to my friend last night that now that we have rudy back, roy will probably go down with an injury.

sorry, my bad.

this is like a joke

I agree with this. There is absolutely no sense in pushing injured players to play. Especially when that player is the franchise. I'm taking the whole family up to Portland to go to the game, so after investing so much coin in the trip I'm disappointed in the circumstances, but if Roy needs to rest he needs to rest. I'll just look forward to Rudy and Bayless picking up the slack.

I wanna see JB on the court for 40 minutes tomorrow night!

Good thing Rudy is back.

He won't get BRoys minutes...Bayless will and it will give Nate an excuse to play Blake more. Rudy is going to be brought back slowly. Bayless is a better option right now anyway.

Blazers are undefeated this season when BRoy doesn't play and Bayless takes the reigns...no worries!

No Problem. It's just a game or so. Let the kid relax and get better after carrying the team. So long as he is healthy later in the season when we are fighting for the playoffs.

I'm going to the game tomorrow night so I want B-Roy to PLAY!
