He played well tonight. He needs to do it again in game 7. If he lets in a soft one in a loss, what he didn't tonight will be forgotten.

Lundqvist needs to carry this team through the playoffs for a stretch before I start calling him the King. That starts with single-handedly winning tomorrow's game.

The whole King thing is a little much, he's a terrific goalie but people are putting him on such a pedastal sometimes that they can only be letdown.

Do people realize what King is about...its not because he is king of all goaltenders. ..its because of the gold medal win. King of Sweden

Oh really, thanks Einstein. :)

Tomorrow night you can argue is the biggest game of Hank's career up to this point. I know they had a ECF run a couple of seasons ago but this is different.

I think that's fair to say. This is probably the best talent he's had around him since he entered the league. One could argue some of the previous teams were better due to chemistry or heart or whatever, but those were also teams they we had to sweat out 2-1 games almost every fricking playoff game.

Let's revisit this thread tomorrow around this time. ;)

“If Lundqvist wins tonight, he will set an NHL record with 5 straight Game 7 wins, passing Belfour, Roy & Cam Ward.” (Mike Kelly)

I know if he plays like he did, and the rest of the team plays like they did, in game6, we win no problem!!! Lets go rangers.

71 & 31 are 102% right all of the time. LOL

So the winner of tonight's game will have 1 more day of rest than the winner of tomorrow's Gm 7 between MTL/BOS...equality for whom???

The 32-year-old franchise netminder has an absolutely mind-boggling 0.80 goals against average, .973 save percentage and one shutout in his last five Game 7’s. Take that a bit further to include other elimination games and Lundqvist is 10-2 with a 1.32 goals against average, .957 save percentage and two shutouts in the past 12 games when the Rangers played in a do-or-die situation.

Hank simply became an absolute wall last night. Was not going to allow the Rangers to lose that game. It's like he said to himself ok you got me the lead back and now I have to win this thing for you guys.

he also said "you guys fking suck @ faceoffs...i'm not going to cover the puck and stop play this late in the game for you fucks to lose another one"

Amazes me that we only ended up down 7 or 8 faceoff wins. I think we win a lot of those neutral zone faceoffs. When we are on the PP in their zone, or a big faceoff in our zone, we lose almost all of them it seems.

Another reason I rather play Montreal. The Bruins are an awesome faceoff team.

As for Hank, that save he made off the stick laying in the crease was simply amazing. Not sure how he stopped that one. Unreal.
