Had an absolutely perfect Fathers Day in McMinnville with BG. Watched the Giants beat the Dodgers while eating take out jambalaya from a terrific Cajun place down the street, and drinking some local raspberry rhubarb cider. The wives/mothers, daughters/granddaughters cleared out for several hours so hormonal interference was minimal at best. It just doesn’t get much better! I hope all you other fathers had a great day also!
 
I got up early as usual..fed the chickens, watered the garden, made a cup of joe and the son called...30 minutes later we were kayaking together for the first time ever....he brought two and we fished for hours....didn't catch any but great fun paddling around the mill pond...it's an impressive lake. He caught a small blue gill...nothing you'd keep. I'm still trying to hook a largemouth bass there...they have some monsters..got a nibble but that's it.

Sounds like a super time! Nothing like being on the water with one of your kids.
For me water, lakes, Rivers, Oceans, are all therapy, and its nice to rip some lips if they are bitting.

My wife and I got our kayaks out on the water today for the first time this year. Had a blast, but we got caught in the thunderstorm going through downtown coming back. The kayaks make great sails. Unfortunately, the wind was blowing sideways to my direction of travel.

They lost all 3 games by a total of 3 goals. They had never played in the sand before, and that’s completely different. They hustled and had fun. Good for them to pick up some Ls. Especially when they don’t count. It was fun.
