The Basketball-Reference database has Assists per Minute only back to 1926. It's catching on now.

Thanks Riverman. Still have the boat, but it has definitely seen better days. Put a ton of money into the boat as the paint job would be equivalent to a $10k or more paint job today.

I don't believe the infamous A/M stat had minutes as part of the equation. It's origin has never been proven either.

I can't see how it speaks to him being a cancer at all. But it does show he doesn't jack up three point shots he can't hit. Less misses improves the A/M. You don't need metadata to see his free throw percentage, it self evident.

Tonight his +- was -25. Barea was the only guy on the court that could help them score. He ended a losing effort with +12.
So much for you A/M stat.
I have had this conversation so many times on another forum it's just crazy. This is quite possibly the worst stat out there that absolutely no one uses for anything worthwhile. Have a good day.

It is not a stat, it is medadata created from Assists/(FGA-FG). But you are free to not use it, I think I will continue.
