The foundation of this day may be flawed but we can all still share good food with loved ones.
I hope all of my fellow Blazer fans had a beautiful day surrounded by the ones you love, sharing good times and good food.
We had 19 people over and i had to buy a second table to seat everyone but it was sooo worth it.

I hope your day was a fantastic as ours.

19? Wow that's a good number of people!

One turkey, one roast and one ham. Mashed taters and gravy, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, pasta salad, garden salad, two pumpkin, one marionberry and one apple pie, all homemade.
Snack trays and cheese logs, rolls, etc.

Nice!

We had turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, mac and cheese, gravy, cheese sauce, pumpkin pie, egg nog, apple cider, adult drinks

Snack tray with crackers, cheese, meats, veggies, and pickles. Tray of chips and dip.

I honestly had a very nice Thanksgiving.
Not the feast though. Shared a TV dinner with the kids.
Watched some of the cowboys game and just got the kids settled down for bed so I tuned in to the second half of the Greenbay game.
Lots of changes going on in my life right now and this was a much needed day just to sit the kids.

Hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving!

Had a fantastic thanksgiving. My mother lives with us, so it was her, my wife and I, and our daughters, and a few of Kaitlen's college teammates.

The girls went to get shots up at the college but the gym was in use, so they brought three of her teammates who didn't go home for Thanksgiving back to OC to get reps in our local gym. Just a church we have a deal with who gave us a key to the gym.

Then they came over for dinner and Thanksgiving movies. Had a blast!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

31 of the last 36 working or traveling. Much needed day off with the FAMS!

We have those exact same table throws pictured underneath the cranberries.
Thanks for all the work you put in for us to enjoy the Blazer broadcast. All feuds aside, it is appreciated and I am thankful for the work you do. Glad you could enjoy a day off at home within all of the rigorous travels.

I love morning after Thanksgiving. Turkey and pie for breakfast.

Me too. All the work is done.

Pumpkin pie and left over cinnamon rolls (we do cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Thanksgiving day) with coffee for breakfast.

Left overs today

Then we'll make some turkey noodle soup tomorrow.

Fuck. I always tell guests no need to bring anything unless there is something they really want to drink. I plan and coordinate the meal.
A cousin who is somewhat of an asshole but he's a first cousin and lives in area so I need to include him. At the last moment he tells me he is bringing his cranberry sauce made without sugar. Just some fruit juice. I had it once and it's bloody awful. I already made large quantity of cranberry sauce. He is also bringing horseradish for the turkey. On turkey sandwich maybe but who puts horseradish on turkey? Making really good gravy involved a lot of steps. But if he prefers horseradish I can't stop him. I am having gravy.

My two vegan guests both got sick. After I made vegan entree, gravy, dessert. I offered to bring them a parcel tomorrow.

not leftovers??? ;-p

This was as wonderful of a thanksgiving as I've ever enjoyed. 16 of us, family & old friends spanning generations, all happy and doing well in a beautiful remote valley where it's just us for miles. Everyone pitched in on the production of a fabulous meal & unprompted the kids cleared the plates when we were finished & did the dishes. Norman Rockwell should have been there

STOMP

Do they know what made them sick?
One of them is getting chemo. Some days she is OK others not. Her spouse has a cold. I will bring them a bag tomorrow.
Just finished washing dishes. The dishwasher was running and I didn't want to wait for it to finish plus not everything can go in dishwasher. Took an hour.
Our menu:
Salad of greens, celery, apples from garden
Herb rubbed turkey.
Baguette based dressing.
Turkey gravy and vegan gravy.
Vegan casserole of butternut squash and lentils with herbed cashew yogurt.
Slow cooker potatoes.
Mashed sweet potatoes.
Cranberry pear sauce.
Crusty rolls.
Corn pudding.
Glazed carrots.
Green beans with maple pecans
Vegan dessert apple crumble with raspberry sorbet
Triple citrus cheesecake
Chocolate angel pie with whipped cream
Four layer gingerbread cake with vanilla buttercream
Wine and sparkling cider

Lashanna wanted to contribute to menu. Just before guests were due she brought home a good fat mouse. I knew some of the guests would have major freakout so put mouse outside. Dummy didn't have sense to run off. When guests arrived they saw Lashanna in driveway with mouse.
If stupid humans can't appreciate such a delicacy she will eat it herself. So there!

Possible that the mouse might have contaminated the food? Causing the guests to get sick?

They probably just got sick because they’re vegan and their digestive track is weak from eating like a finch
