I hope you all (who have jobs) get a half day today, and have a great weekend!

I'm cooking 2 turkeys, one on the Weber charcoal grill and one in the oven. It was buy one get one free at the grocery store.

Green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and two kinds of pie.

What's your feast?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone :)

I'll be working both today and tomorrow but hoping to get out early.

Turkey is a given.
Stuffling as well.
Mashed (yukon) potatoes
Gravy (from the drippings)
Oysters Rockerfeller

probably going to buy a pie somewhere. if Pix is open, maybe go there but its far, so maybe Beaverton bakery

We're having eleven people over for Thanksgiving, so we're making a lot of food.

Deep fried turkey (my wife is recording the insertion, so if I become a human torch, she can post it on youtube)
Roasted turkey with my wife's family dressing (my mother-in-law doesn't trust that the deep fried turkey will turn out well)
Mashed potatoes
Sliced yams with maple syrup and almonds
Sausage dressing
Salad with greens, craisins, pears, candied pecans, goat cheese and a raspberry vinaigrette
homemade dinner rolls
scalloped corn (my wife's family recipe)
green bean casserole
Apple pie
Pumpkin pie
Pear and cranberry crisp

12lb deep fried turkey
19lb oven turkey
mashed potatoes
stuffing
white corn
fruit salad
cranberry sauce
olives,sweet midgets,baby carrots,celery
3 pumpkin pies, 2 apple pies, pumpkin cheesecake, ice cream
Boston brown bread
dinner rolls
Lil' Smokies
Nanaimo bars
fruit smoothies, hot chocolate, milkshakes, local brews, and a cigar

:check: The cigar is a must when deep frying the turkey. That sounds like a great Thanksgiving.
