Thanksgiving Football Schedule:

Vikings vs. Lions 12:30 pm
Chargers vs. Cowboys 4:30 pm
Giants vs. Redskins 8:30 pm

I better eat early because I don't want Agita watching the Giants.

Hey Ron how long does it take to defrost a Turkey, I had mine in the refrigerator for 3 days and it's still frozen.

the one I cooked for yesterday's pre-thanksgiving dinner thawed VERY slowly in the the fridge for 2 days
...(22 pounder)...so to finishing thawing it and since I was gonna cook it the same day anyway, I took it out of the wrapper and put it in the kitchen sink and covered it with lukewarm water and drained and change the water about once every hour till the turkey was completely thawed (about 2 1/2 hours)...of course it speeds things up if it thaws to the point of being able to remove the giblets and neck inside the bird

^^^Annie gets giddy here anytime the temp gets below 40 and the sky is overcast...she's like a kid as she stares out the window hoping to see a snowflake.

My Husband likes it too he gets to make Overtime at his Job.

...ya know, I hate to admit it, but as long and often that I've heard about "cannoli's", I have never actually eaten one.

You don't know what your missing.

...yeah, I have a few friends of Italian background and they all rave about them...evidently, they're the national desert of Italy...lol.

...isn't it basically a sweet tube shaped pastry?

yup and they are delicious.

My Mother is on her way over to take the guts out of the Turkey, I can't watch that I'll throw up, and please Ron tell me you don't eat the Giblets.

yer right, one makes gravy out of giblets- then use the guts/intestines as sausage sheathes....make the sausage out of the rest of the turkey's guts, then pick one's teeth with their toenails....only after deep frying the feet and eating 'em. Now the eyeballs, those too go into sausage....

laissez les bon temps roulette

if it makes you feel better, the toenails are first cleaned before picking with 'em, beak too-

I shot and bbq'd the easter bunny,
puxatony phil, now gopher jerky.
blew up the festive turkey w/a 12 gauge; (with the help of 'wild turkey' spirits), and ate him too.

Now Rudolph is in my cross hairs....

am I missing any critter???

I think you have them all covered.

Thanksgiving is for all that appreciate what they have. I also appreciate the great people I have met in this forum. Happy Thanksgiving All.

...it really would be nice to actually talk face to face...I remember doing that with some of the old espn members about 10 years ago...we met in NYC.

^^^^

I recall you doing that as well, incredible time for you and annie; incredible just to read on the old BSPN Boards back in the day...

Let me test my memory: You met 'remembermunson' and I forgot the other, also I thought you met Giamibino too. I know you know their true names, and had a great time, with Louey(sp?); yet I cannot recollect the actual 2nd board member you met with in NY/NY.....

Please feel free to fill in the blanks, its a story worth telling over and over again, to refresh this old mind....
