Prepped everything I can for tomorrow. Churned ice cream. Couldn't resist sampling a spoonful. I mean super good.
Tomorrow morning pick salad and rinse thoroughly. Even gardeners don't want slugs in their salad. Start crock pots.

Got two crock pots crocking. Sounds like Twelve Days of Thanksgiving

Five pounds potatoes!
Four pounds of carrots
Three desserts
Two crock pots crocking
And a turkey in a dry brine

Mostly put away. Not a lot of leftover turkey; my oven isn't big enough for a large one and guests took care of it. Got three dinners and turkey "pie", bottom crust is leftover mashed potatoes, then turkey & gravy, top crust leftover dressing. Vegetables portioned out and tucked into freezer. Muffins in freezer. Cranberry sauce portioned out. Still have to deal with what's left of desserts. With impeccable timing, dishwasher went out of order. Repairman said I can use it, it will clean with hot water supply from my house just like washing dishes but without the extra heat that dries them. And a lot of things have to be washed by hand. I have three dish drainers and racks on every available surface with dishes drying on them. Really won't have house back in order until tomorrow. Scrubbed stove and kitchen floor, which really was a wonder to behold! My friends next door are out of town until tomorrow. I will greet them with slices of pecan pie and cranberry tart.

Guests took home the ice cream packed in bags of ice. A little left. I ate it after everyone was gone and I was in pajamas. Comfort food.

A little contretemps. I noticed a half bottle of wine in the bar that wasn't mine. Couldn't find cork or stopper. I already had part of the bottle of Zin I had opened. And with no cork, deposited it down the drain and recycled bottle. Later this morning got a text from my cousin, he had left half a bottle of wine at my house. It's expensive wine and I am welcome to enjoy it but otherwise he'd like to come fetch it. I told him I enjoyed. Little fib. Oi!

Dishwasher repair tomorrow.

Tomorrow is second Thanksgiving. Sweet potato soup done and frozen weeks ago, now thawing. Coconut milk ice cream in freezer, cranberry sauce in refrigerator, cherry crisp on counter. Tonight I will measure all the dry ingredients for flatbread so in morning just add water, knead, and let rise while cleaning the house. Prep entree late morning to go into oven. Sauce also made, just need to add a bit of parsley.

Starting to feel cooked out.

Also made soup this morning for myself.
