Harrington Deal Dead

Nets have shown interest in Harrington. They said before they would exchange ideas if the Indiana Pacers deal died. What are your thoughts on him?

There is some talk of sending a couple of exceptions+McInnis+Collins. Of course my olny problem is that we are giving up Collins. He is a great inside defender and it would be a real loss.

Atlanta would'nt do that, would they?

Not likely, they'll probably look at their other options first. Atlanta isn't really trying to get anything for him, the only reason they were signing and trading is that the other teams didn't have cap space. Atlanta doesn't really want contracts back.

They still have that $7.5mil trade exception, which allows them to trade and not send any players, as long as Harrington takes that as the base salary for the first year of his deal.

Pacers Close to Getting Harrington Again
