Figured it was a reasonable compromise. ;)

Why in the fuck was the title changed?

Fucking pc bullshit.

Calm down.

I’ve looked at this graph for five minutes and I cannot figure out what the F it is telling me about Harrison F. Barnes.
Bottom left section is awful (bad o, bad d). Upper right section is awesome (good o, good d).

Originally? Because as the official forum of the Trail Blazers, there can't be f-bombs in thread titles.

If you mean why was it changed yesterday, it was to throw a humorous nod at what the thread title used to be.

wow, this thread should be a reminder why fans don't have a clue. Barnes better than Lillard? That is some of the funniest shit I have read in this forum.

Rodney Hood will arguably be as good for this team as Barnes would at 1/7 the cost.
Im gonna disagree Hood was getting almost 28 minutes a game on a terrible team and couldnt turn that into more than 12 points a game... He’s supposed to be a scorer. Barnes is a better scorer than Hood has been. Barnes paycheck is probably more than his production has been but I think were gonna figure out what Cleveland and Utah figured out.

Just compare their true shooting percentages. Their efficiencies are pretty much identical.

PER, BPM, VORP...all basically the same.

Their statistics are very similar (least the advanced ones), but I think from watching Dallas games this year (because Luka’s awesome), Barnes has shown he can be an explosive scorer offensively he’s better then Hood is right now. I think he’s been pretty good this year. Not that I watch a ton of cleveland games but if he was going to do anything he obviously had the oppurtunity there and he just wasnt good...

It obviously worked out for us handsomely. Lillard was a huge riser during the draft process. Barnes was talked about all year as a top 3 pick. Hell, some wanted TRob over Dame that year. Thankfully he was taken at 5.

Wanting Barnes then wasn't as far fetched as it seems today. I sure as hell am glad we made the right pick.

Why are Blazer fans so willing to overpay for mediocrity? Is it some kind of guilt tax for asking players to come to Portland?

The Warriors can get better players around Barnes (they NEED a point guard), they could challenge for the title in the coming years.

KingSpeed was a prophet. Barnes just needed some better players around him on the Warriors and sure enough...

The title of this trade made me think we traded for Barnes lol

Barnes is a 1 or 2 option on the Mavs where as Hood is around 4rd or 4th option with the Cavs and not much help on that team this year to get him easier baskets.

Barnes $24+ mil
Hood $3.4mil

For $21 mil a year difference I will take Hood all day long as the production isn't all that much different.

I was a fan of Barnes in college, but always felt he never had that it factor for as high as he was drafted and his career has pretty much shown that. Barnes had the hoopla mainly because where he went to school. If Lillard would have gone to a major college program like NC he would have been touted higher than Barnes.
