Hawks @ Blazers 02/18/12 Game Thread - LaMarcus active

Oh, yeah, Nolan Smith didn't look half bad, did he?

Blazers played great. Of course, it's easy to win games when your shots are falling and the other team's aren't. Batum and LaMarcus are a solid 1-2 tandem, plus Felton played adequate, which for him is a gigantic boost.

I agree about that. But when you're wide open, and you pass up an easy shot, you're hurting the team.
I agree. Those are shots even I want him to take. Is he pouting? Maybe he is mental. Someone check his twitter tonight. :)

I know you weren't referring to me. I've been Mr. Positive this season. I just wonder where all of the NBA Experts are tonight.

:dunno:Probably actually watching the game instead of pontificating online.:dunno:

BNM

Just got home from my company party, really looks like they kicked some ass. First game I've missed this year ... 20 point win against a good opponent ... coincidence? :dunno:

Nope u are a fan and we need fans watching. No coincidence buddy!

Is Nate still a cancer? That was a ridiculous thread, wasn't it?

It will take more than one game to determin how ridiculous it is. I hope I'm talking out of my ass. That would mean we are winning!

On a side note. I read your daughter was in the ER. I hope she's doing okay. I'll pray for her.

Quite the turnaround from the Hawks game I was at last year. Gerald's debut as a blazer and we got blown out by 30. This was Great, nolan getting minutes was awesome, I just wish he gave a few more to elliot. He put forth tremendous effort in the last 2 minutes. Better trade felton tonight though, don't think we'll see a repeat of that performance any time soon.

Nice win - I admittedly was ragging on Felton to all my fellow season ticket holders before the game, so was more than pleasantly surprised.

Went to the game tonight. It's nice when you can kick back and socialize for almost a whole game while the Blazers roll to a victory.

This was a brew fest for me but Felton looked to have one of his strongest games of the season. Of course it's one night and the big question is can he do this consistently (3 out of 4 games). He seemed more effective in the first half when he had a little hop to his step and his handles were even looking better (it's all relative).

Nic, well I'm guessing Allen will be shelling out 10+ mil/yr when he probably could have been had for 8-9/yr a few weeks ago.

What's up with Crawford?

I love Camby. He talks all game on defense to teammates. One play, after a Blazer basket, Camby is setting up on defense looking straight ahead. I watch the Atlanta coach put his hand to his elbow to call a play. Camby then makes the same signal and starts directing teammates where to go (don't know how he saw that and how he knew exactly what they were going to run). Maybe I was just enjoying my buzz, but really appreciated Camby's mental approach to the game (he is also often the first guy off the bench to back five his teammate).

Doubt Nate will get any credit here for a blow out, but he doesn't really need or want it anyways.

Time to go watch the game on DVR and see what really happened (like it looked like Wes got fouled on an attempted dunk and that T on him looked weak)

Where all are the Blazer haters? Only 137 posts? I'm sure they'll be back Monday.

Every single poster here talks out of their ass. Some of just accept that we do these days.

Youngest daughter is OK. Had panic attacks last night and today over her condition, which for a 6 year-old, isn't a good thing. Once the third one started this afternoon, the doctor said it was time to do some tests. The "lockdown" drill at school yesterday didn't help her feelings about her mortality. She's sound asleep now though, after not sleeping at all last night!

Thanks for the prayers, mags. Those never hurt, and can only help!

Damn! I have a 6 year old daughter as well and couldn't imagine going thru that...... hope everything works out well.(I'd say I'd pray for you guys, but I haven't been to church since I was 18)

I haven't been to church other than a holiday since I was 17, and for a holiday, it's been at least 10 years now. That said, I don't see how prayers are ever a bad thing!

Sorry to hear you had to take your Daughter to the ER but i'm glad she is okay.
As for everyone talking out of our asses its quiet true, but most of us still sound more sane then those that do it on ESPN.

What's your glitch?

Not sure what you're asking. Glitch?

In any case, I rarely participate in the game threads, until the game is over. I'd rather be focused on watching the game than trying to follow the game thread. Of course, if I'm not able to watch the game because I'm not near a TV, or don't have a link, then I'm more inclined to follow the game thread, but that's pretty rare these days.

BNM

P.S. Hope your daughter in OK. I have three kids myself and my son has had more medical issues, some quite serious, than any kid should have. He's been sick for the last 48 hours and had to miss a concert performance today.

Thanks man. I hope we all remember that this is all just a game, and a diversion from the real world.

The win tonight was nice to watch after a rough few days.

I agree, but not going to church for 20 years and then trying to pray is like watching a Blazer game if you DIRECTV! Ain't no signal!

Great win last night. The stars were aligned, the moon was in the 7th house, and Jupiter was aligned with Mars. Shots were falling and the Hawks shots weren't. Way to take advantage of that, and step on their necks
