Maybe olshey goes down on Jody..why else wouldn’t we just hire Brent Barry?
I just get so angry thinking this is still a possibility. For all I know Neil has no interest in him, but until I hear otherwise, I’m still in depression over this retreadThe nets offense sure looks a lot like ours. Iso iso iso iso. They just have better players.
I’d love Budenholzer only because he brings Darvin Ham with him, who I’d like as our head coachI could see coach Bud in Portland honestly.
Yes there isVogel was a retread. Kerr was an unknown. There’s no exact science to this shit.
Only thing i can figure is it's something like they like the idea of being in the conversation. Like a school girl wants to be noticed? I absolutely see no reason to want MDA or Carlisle for that matter. What is all the MDA love about?
What is all the MDA love about?
Darvin HamWho’s your guy or gal?
Darvin Ham
Probably because he shattered a backboard in college! Why Darvin?
Great defensive coach. Perches it like gospel. Young black assistant. Probably one of the brighter young minds in basketball. Deserves a shot at head coachWhy Darvin?
Darvin Ham
Becky didn't even make second rounds with Boston. Darvin Ham and Chauncey Billups did....
What does that say about these candidates?
I dunno? They’d all be on my list to interview though

literally nothing. these jobs/candidates aren't in a vacuum where one team's evaluation is necessarily the same as another. same as in any other field.
that said, my big takeaway is billups interviewing again. Is that because we passed on him, or did he pass on us?
There's already enough Bud in Portland. Time for a cool changeI’d love Budenholzer only because he brings Darvin Ham with him, who I’d like as our head coach
Boston has been going to interview Chauncey from the start...that's old news..probably several teams are going to interview most of these candidates...literally nothing. these jobs/candidates aren't in a vacuum where one team's evaluation is necessarily the same as another. same as in any other field.

Noooooo to D'anPhoney.Celtics must already know that D'Antoni is Blazers the bound.

Love this quote from him
“Defense is something you can get right most nights. Nothing is 100 percent perfect, but there’s a lot of excellence involved in defense and you really give yourself a chance to win if you’re focused on that end of the court. What you can take away from teams, the opportunities you can create for yourself offensively mostly comes from the defensive end. Whether you’re causing a team to turn the ball over, cause them to take a shot they’re not looking for, cause a team to throw a bad pass…It’s one of those things where you can really get it right if you work at it.
We work our defense through film studies, individual workouts, team workouts. We spend a lot of time focusing on how we want to approach the game. People get caught in changing things from game to game, but I think one of the biggest reasons why we’ve been so successful is the fact that we plan on how we’re going to use our strengths and what’s the best suitable coverage to defend someone from our point of view. From our skill set, from our personnel. It’s fun. I love it. I love seeing that look in people’s faces when they can’t score or get into the paint, their action or get to their source of offense.”
I don’t get the fascination with a 70 year old retreadI like defense too. I think Ham would be perfect as D coordinator. Hand over the whole defensive side of things to him and hire a guy like D’Antoni to perfect the offensive side.
