Ranking the 6 Head Coach Job Openings

It's "exclusive" ESPN content but here's the highlight - they rank the Blazers 6th. As in the worst...



The rest of the teams are ranked:
#5: Washington
#4: Orlando
#3: Indiana
#2: New Orleans
#1: Boston

pretty certain it isn't becky at this point. she was interviewed monday and there are no reservations announcing her at this stage.

only possibility is they're waiting to interview everyone before making a decision.

We want a winner not a statement. If Jody said something like "She has done her research and interviewed the candidate' If she was saying more than just being the first i would feel better. But the way things are right now?
I'm not thinking this is the coach the Blazers need at all.

While I'll admit that NOLA would be attractive if you were a head coach candidate... it's not a slam dunk that they're a better destination than the Blazers. If the Blazers re-sign Norm and trade CJ for a forward that can defend and be a second or third scoring option then this team actually becomes a very good defensive team.

The fact is that Dame alone makes this a very good destination for a head coach. The problem with a team like NOLA is expectations. Is this new coach supposed to get them from the 11th spot in the West to the fifth just because of all of the young talent on the team that should be getting better?

No, a 31 year old Dame is a great thing to have if you're an newly hired head coach.

I’d bet the Pelicans next coach gets fired before the Blazers next coach.
Stability matters.
Pelicans don’t have that.. at all.

It’s possible that Jody really wants Becky and Neil is trying to show her other options. Maybe Neil really doesn’t want her. Who knows at this point.

I just don’t understand the panic and the conspiracy theories. Seems like a standard process to me so far. All finalists interview(ed) this week and then they’ll make a decision in the next day or so. Neil chose his candidate a long time ago. He wants the process to appear fair. So, he's diligently interviewing multiple candidates. In the end, he'll get who he's wanted all along.

Because the Blazers organization is just one big secret what there doing. They going interview the finalists and sit down and make the decision who they think can lead this team best. So speculation by this forum is just that so relax because someone will hire in the near future. Who ever it is I will give them a chance to show what they can do just like every new player we get.

Jody shouldn't be involved, period. PA finally learned to let the people he hired do their jobs. I have zero faith in this coaching change since the house wasnt cleaned with Olshey as well. They are going to waste Dame while watching every other team in the conference leave them in the dust.
