LMA had previously wanted out because, “he was jealous of Oden and Roy”.
And everything SPD already told you.
3 very, very vague similarities and about a million differences. Unhappy with the direction of the team is also a crock of shit. You’ve got no idea that’s how he feels. Frustrated getting bounced in the first round, sure, but unhappy with the direction of the team is a complete unknown.

Might as well say they’re both black breathing basketball players that require food and water to survive.

yes, absolutely...CJ for damn sure because Olshey loves CJ more than he loves Dame. And again, I think the 'Dame protected Stotts' stuff ignores the pretty obvious evidence that Olshey was a big fan of Stotts too. I mean, that rumor you put so much stock in says it was Paul Allen that wanted Stotts fired, not Olshey

if Olshey would have traded CJ for PG13 or Butler or Kawhi or Harden, I don't think Dame would have any issue with it. And now, I don't think the trade would have to bring back an elite player. Just offer a plausible direction forward that Dame can see

Yes, that's one scenario that could happen. Will it happen? Probably not. I have no idea. But he has also done some other things so far this offseason that I wouldn't have thought he'd do.

Lillard wants to win a championship and is pissed off it didn't happen. We're pissed off it didn't happen and are reading everything into everything.

Can you imagine what people would be saying if Lillard had gone radio silent after the end of the season? "Lillard doesn't really care." "Lillard got his supermax contract... yadda yadda yadda." "Lillard only cares about rapping!"

To be fair... he probably knew pretty early on that this team had no shot at winning a title and people are going to remember his final place in the scoring list a lot longer than they will remember our shit season.

Most people in Portland wouldn't think that. Maybe some pundits like Stephen A. But not most Blazer fans. We could see the emotion in his final interview.

With that said, you have to admit the play to get Kidd was a new look for him.

What exactly did Lillard say about Kidd? I don't think I've actually heard words directly from him. It's only been "sources said."
 
In case there's any confusion, Dame is my favorite player of all time. I want him to stay and I want it to work out. I want to get him a chip. I'm just concerned by some of the things that have happened so far this offseason.
 
A lot of Mavs Fans dislike Carlisle for the same reasons we disliked Stotts

They can't have the same reason's as us because Carlisle got them a chip and we didn't like Stotts because he had never done anything significant with our team. Now, if they don't want Carlisle to stay because he hasn't got them out of the first round since their title a decade ago... that's a valid reason but a very different reason than ours.

I meant lack of adjustments, old schemes, waiting to long to call a timeout etc
 
This is the first season I don’t place the blame on NO, he went out and got players that were proven and were supposed to fill our defensive woes. Those pieces didn’t fit perfectly, but that’s why you have a coach. I think he did a good job getting the pieces, we had more talent than Denver and there is no one who can convince me otherwise. I dont understand how somebody watched the Blazers this season and didnt recognize the bad coaching. Its crazy. The defense was so fucking awful and it came to a point where my excitement for the Blazers was completely zero. We had some good defenders in Covington, Jones, Nurkic and Trent was above average. Stotts completely ruined this Season. The schemes and gameplan was always so horrendously bad. The roster Neil has assembled now should be able to compete with a good coach. I feel confident saying that

Every season that Olshey says that Dame and CJ are the one two combo that is the foundation for a championship... I put it on him. Also, just because Olshey puts talent on the court, doesn't mean that the talent fits together. Not to harp on it but every time he puts Dame and CJ together he will get less than the some of their parts because their redundancies of being bad on D and needing the ball to be their most effective on O.

Very well could be the case. This two part transaction is only wise if you nail them both.

Hasn't gotten out of first round since their championship. Been the the playoffs 6 of last ten years and bounced form rd 1 each time. Nothing more than an average coach, like most are.
