It's not a guarantee, it's just what I see as a likelihood if you match up Dame with D'Antoni. He's gotten a lot out of superstars with similar skills to Dame and a worse roster than we currently have got HCA under Stotts. I also think we'll move CJ for something that fits better around Dame and we'll get Norm back who is a better compliment to Dame even though CJ is the better player. I'm not guaranteeing any of this shit, I'm just saying that it would be likely under the D'Antoni system.

That being said, I still want Chauncey and think that this team with a move of CJ for a better defender and Norm returning can be a defensive powerhouse that also scores well.
 
If Dame sat in on the Billups interview why wouldn't he sit in on the others? I'm not sure I buy that he only sat in on the Billups interview.
 
Can we stop using MDA for D'anPhoney please. Everytime i see it i think of Jerry Lewis and all the great work he did for MDA. Ed McMahon was Jerry's defensive coordinator.
 
After Fizdale's performance in Memphis and NY, I want nothing to do with that guy. His hits on ESPN aren't helping him either.
 
Keep in mind……

Fizdale might have looked like the type of coach stars want. When the Grizzlies fired him, several big-name players – including LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Damian Lillard – showed support. But it was always a foolish idea to hire a coach based on his ability to lure stars. It’s such a minor factor for elite free agents.

With the coaching announcements in full bloom, I suspect it will be Billups because we could announce D’Retread or Hammon anytime.

He has a .202 winning % in NY in 104 games coached.

Thibs took largely the exact same roster and won 41 of 72 games.

no thank you. he's a trash coach.

What a coincidence. There's an article in the Undefeated today about Fizdale.

“I tried to coach Marc Gasol like I coached kids from the ‘hood, but I hadn’t gained enough trust from him,” Fizdale said in our interview. “I coached him how my high school coach would have coached me, where I tried to tear his ego down to the barest bones in front of the group. I got caught up in my own ego and my emotions, because I was so frustrated with the losing.”

The bottom fell out in a home loss to Brooklyn, when Fizdale kept the franchise player on the bench the whole fourth quarter. With eight straight losses, a 7-12 record and Gasol expressing his dissatisfaction to the media, Fizdale was fired.

The day of his first preseason game with the Knicks, a text message pinged on Fizdale’s phone. It was from Gasol. He apologized for how things ended in Memphis and said he understood why Fizdale pushed him so hard. “Those guys are lucky to have you,” Gasol wrote.

“What [Memphis] taught me is I can still coach guys hard, but I have to know the level I can go to,” Fizdale said in our interview. “I have to coach them with the idea that it’s bigger than basketball.”

I didn’t say anything about his coaching ability.
I retorted how more players like him and appreciate him (on record) than the one player who doesn’t.
Who also happened to have issues with Joeger. And Vogel.
1 player has had issues with damn near every coach he’s had.

no, i just think he's a shit coach whose career .346 record in 200+ games reflects his abilities.
