Hey Blazer freaks--I'm coming to Oregon on Labor Day weekend and taking a week-long tour of the state with my girlfriend. She's never been to Oregon, so I'm going to show her all my favorite spots--Mt. Hood, Columbia Gorge, Odell Lake, Crater Lake, the Coast, and of course Portland. I can't wait!

We were going to stay one night at the Crater Lake Lodge, but it's fully booked for the month of September. Anyone know any nice places to stay in the Crater Lake area?

Head about an hour north and you can stay in Lapine with Maris and his pomeranian Mitzi.

Shooter is coming here?!

We'll be camping and fishing at Diamond Lake next week. Got a nice spot on the water.

I've had good success catching Kokanee at Paulina & Miller lakes.

I've had great luck with keeper sized Rainbows at Paulina and East Lakes. Never knew there was kokanee in there, it was a long time ago though.

That was the camping trip from hell at East Lake. Bears coming to our camp at night, getting hooked in the ear by my cousin, serial arsonist lighting the nearby woods on fire and having to evacuate and then the last night it starts snowing in the middle of August. It was nuts.

That seems like a lot to cram into just one week. Oregon is a big state, the distances between those spots is long, and that is a lot of driving.

I hope she likes a) driving; b) the great outdoors; c) terror inducing amounts of "quality time" with Shooter.

Seriously, we had some in-laws from New Jersey visit a few years back. None had ever been to the American West. So, we take them on a weeklong driving tour of the Southwest. There were stretches where they were obviously bored by what I found to be fantastic. They didn't hate it. They were happiest the day we spent at the Las Vegas MegaHotel Pool. No nature. Just hundreds of people and waiters. Different strokes.

Hahaha. Repped.

That video is nothing without the audio. Hope he didn't get any on his tent.

...ahahaha, "WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! OOOHHHH AAAAHHHH UHHHH OHHHH!!!"

The narrator sounds like he peed his pants with joy and started crying
