I heard it was 10k to start. Al Jazeera's saying 97k next month. LOL. Even if we wanted to, we'd be hard pressed to bring 30k home in one month.

well, he's just taking the soldiers he sent last year in the surge home, right?

couple of years ago, and that's what it sounds like.

it's a bit trickier though, and there are good points on both sides. I have to defer to the commanders on the ground there. If GEN Petraeus thinks it's ok to send them home, I trust him. If he says they should stay a bit longer, and some guy in a suit in the Obama Circle says no, then that's jacked up.

Do they have travel visas, or what? That's a lot of foreign troops to bring over at once.
