Listening to all the pundits, it sounds like the race is really down to two legitimate candidates, Cam Newton and our own LaMichael James.
Cam Newton (that name sounds like like bad writing on the syfy channel) seems to have the lead, but it's hard to tell by how much. If Auburn and Oregon both win out and both players keep putting up impressive stats, I don't think James can catch up in the race. I think the only chance for James is if Cam sputters in the final week to Alabama, and even then I think James might not be able to catch up.
