Most populated city on earth. The little buildings you see are 7 story apartment buildings.

That doesnt even look like an actual city but the remants of a city in one of those post apocalypse movies

This is why it seems to me the question of, how many Americans do we need, must be answered before any immigration reform is attempted.
Everyone knew China had too many people way back when it had 600 million. At our current rate of growth, the US is on track for 600 million well before the end of this century. The growth is completely immigration.

The only solution to the worldwide population explosion is to close all western borders and force the third world countries to deal with their self-made problem. As long as they can freely migrate to places which they haven't destroyed they will continue to breed like rabbits and consume/pollute, and eventually destroy the entire world.

How many Americans does it take to screw in a 100W light bulb?

A lot of those "self made" 3rd world problems weren't actually "self made"

China is turning into a desert, I've traveled there twice and it's a disaster, they are running out of water faster than any country on the planet. As to the immigration question, the native americans were saying the same thing when the Europeans showed up and the 600 mil projection does not account for all of the folks who are eating themselves to death here. There's going to be subtraction as well as addition. The potato famine in Ireland increased our population at an incredible rate during the Civil War. A very small segment of the Chinese population can afford to emigrate anywhere. When I was overseas there were 1million Western expats in Taiwan which has a population of 23 million. I've been to about 30 countries in my life and everyone had a huge population of Americans. Goes both ways.

I presume you have a point to make, but it skipped by me.

It's ok, doubling the US population because Shanghai is polluted and crowded sort of skipped by me too.

Well there isn't much sense in doing the same is there? We are not there yet,
but we are on the path unless we change the path.
