I know he's ancient, but I'd rather see the Blazers add a guy like Kurt Thomas, who is still an excellent rebounder (17.8 and 17.2 TRB% over the last two seasons), plays very good defense and would be a good mentor for our young guys.

Is he? Isn't Milwaukee in a (perpetual) rebuilding mode? There was talk after the RJ trade that they would buyout/cut Thomas. Given that they aren't going anywhere but the lottery soon, perhaps they would consider a younger player and a future draft pick more suited to their needs than a 37-year old back-up power forward. Of course, now that they've lost CV, Thomas may be penciled in as their starter.

we'd see even more improvement at the back up PF spot if Dwight Howard was slotted there... KP should trade Patty Mills for him. They make this one move, they are contenders next year. If they don't make this one move. They have not did all they could do, to put themself in a position to win and win now.

comprende?

Not quite sure I got that. Was there a theme to this?

yup, both your proposal and mine have about the same chance of happening.... none. Why would the W's trade their only other player (besides Biedrins) who can guard a center for yet another skinny forward? They have no need for Travis or his expiring deal. On the other hand they do need a quality backup 5.
