Yeah, in Hawaii they made fun of me for wearing sandals at school. They all went barefoot. I had tough feet there, red from the volcanic dirt. Then in California I went barefoot at home, but not at school. We skateboarded barefoot, and when you jumped off onto the sidewalk, it hurt. I moved to the Northwest the same time Walton did. I read in the paper him saying, "My feet are COLD all the time, man." I was amazed. I thought I was the only one with freezing feet. I quickly learned to wear shoes indoors.
