Hewlett Packard to buy Palm!

Uggh. HP sucks ass. They did ok with their PDAs a few years back, but that company seems lame.

Compaq, then Palm... are they trying to pick these companies up right at the end of their life cycle or what?

I had an Ipaq..replaced my Palm III.

I heard this sale is going to delay the release of the HP Slate, which is basically going to be the much better version of the ipad.

HP would be smart to market the Slate under the Palm brand I think. Have Palm be a mobile pad device...even tought hte name "palm" would be somewhat ironic I guess.

doesn't really matter. The iPad is useless garbage. I wanted to get one so bad, then I used one and realized how limited it is. The Slate is going to be way better.

the big selling point for me on the Ipad is that it connects with Mobile Me. other than that...meh. don't think the rest can use cell phone data network as cheap as Ipad...we'll see what's up.
