Wow! Those guys have more guts than I do. I recognized the pumice floating right away. My first though was, Oh hell! Where is the Volcano? I have seen pumice floating on the water in East Lake over in the Newberry Crater. Years ago there was still much pumice around the Lake, when the wind blew strong and made big waves wash ashore, sometimes some washed back into the lake. If the wind shifted quickly enough, you could see floating patches of pumice. It water logs rather quickly and sinks so that volcano is there man, you just haven't found it yet!

So that would have been my reaction, where the fuck is the volcano? No way am I going sail through that stuff!!!

I found a big patch of floating coconuts once. A really big patch but not as big as that pumice patch. I kept about two five gallon bucket full of them. Then there is a big eddy in the ocean North
East of Hawaii. A lot of glass floats, and coconuts there. The coconuts are all rotten by the time they get there but the glass balls are cool.

A pumice patch would scare the shit out of me.
