Been thinking about heading up to Bend with the GF for a few days. I remember once renting a house in Sun River. Had a lot of fun. Granted, that was in the summer, I believe, and rented bikes and all that.....

Anyway, is that the way to go? Rent a house? If so, might you have any trusted resources in that area?

She loves rustic places with fireplaces.

Thanks!

PS: Do they show Blazer games there?

Vrbo.com

Had good luck in the past. Gotta know how to work it. These are mostly second homes thus often better outfitted than pure rentals only.

Really best for families or groups. Sunriver homes tend to the large. Five plus beds are common.

For just two maybe consider the lodge. Drinks in front of a massive stone fireplace sounds romantic right?

Good call. Plus, she's in the travel business, so she gets pretty substantial discounts.

Thanks!

Sorry, was out showing properties today and just now saw your post.

Things are pretty icy right now, so a fireplace and nearby amenities is the way to go.

Sunriver's great, you can walk to the skating rink, cafes, store...

If you don't ski (I don't) this is something we've been meaning to check out:
