December 15th is the day you can trade players signed over the Summer, right???

Because we are discussing all things trades in other threads. Starting one like this puts the same discussions in multiple places. Why on Earth would we need a whole separate page to let people know Stauskas is now able to be traded instead of just mentioning it in a trade thread?

Threads rarely stay on topic. All threads of a certain age devolve into pissing matches between a couple of posters.

Well that isn't always true. If you wanted to start a new trade thread now that most players are eligible then fine I could understand doing so because that other thread has gotten long but to make a thread just to say we can trade Stauskas now is quite silly.

Let's keep arguing so that the thread will have lots of posts in it and its existence will be justified.

There is an unwatch thread function on the top right pane of every thread for anyone who feels threads are cluttering anything, you can unwatch any of them I believe so the "too many threads" argument actually has a built in solution. I like Rasta's threads myself...especially the pinstriped suit

That doesn't solve the issue which is that these type of discussions are already taking place and are being discussed. Now there are at least 3 different threads talking about things that have already been talked about. Why not join those conversations?

Like I said, if a thread gets too long and someone wants to start a new one for all things trade related then totally understandable. This particular thread isn't worthy because the answer is yes and that leaves nothing more to discuss.

This place has always had threads that could be in one place...around the NBA could suck up most threads ...we have fantasy football threads and college sports threads...even though S2 has a Ducks forum that nobody uses....we talk about baseball here in threads..to me, it's all good. Imagine how long the Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump threads would have been if they were under one thread each..I guess to each his own but I don't see the problem...maybe the mods or staff could sticky your trade thread so it's on top of the forum threads at all times? I rarely go to a trade thread but will click on most threads about Blazer personel..I posted something in a trade thread once that had been talked to death already a dozen pages earlier so to stay up with that thread I would have to re-read the whole damned thing...I usually go to new posts when I log on.

This particular one isn't a thread topic though. It's a simple question with a simple answer. Once again, if instead this thread was a "New Trade Thread" now that most of the NBA is eligible to be traded it would be different. In the Jabari Parker thread we have people asking questions that have already been answered.

If we were to trade Stauskas, two questions come to mind.
How is he valued around the league, Nd what do we think he could net us in return???

Questions maybe the OP had intended on asking as well. :)

Id say his value MIGHT net us a second round pick right now. Not sure how the league values him.
But i bet its less than Blazer fans.

So if he has little value and will net little in return, what is the point of making him a priority to move?
He is new to this team and most players require time for adjustments. Combine that with Stotts irratic and mind boggling rotational changes,
I think he is providing what we brought him in for. As he continues to gel i hope his defense improves. He has a solid three. He can drive to the hoop. He moves well off the ball.

@Rastapopoulos you started this thread, is this just a personal bias or do you care to justify this thread with any specifics as to why this should be a focal point for the Blazers?

Nice guy but no thanks. if anything. Stauskas is quicker it seems. Both in physical speed and decision making and he seems to have more of a “ go for the throat” mentality that pattyc had.
