quit being snarky....I don't give a shit about 'winning' this argument and wasn't even looking to start one

it was an honest question. If you've seen him run teams successfully, then explain. I've said before (in this thread I believe) that I know next to nothing about Hezonja. I've probably seen him play less than 30 minutes, and I can't really remember them. So yeah, I'll look at his numbers and form some questions; is that ok? My thinking on a point-forward for Portland is based upon 3 years of suffering thru Turner and the idea that actual forwards with PG skills are really rare
Respect your opinion.
IMHO, I think Hezonja SHARING backup ballhandling with Ant instead of just relying on Hezonja (or ET when he was here, God that's good to type) will make all the difference. But that could just be me being optimistic - we'll see.

no problem Scalma

maybe he has hidden talents that showed a little in the last 4 games of last season. His experience has been in Orlando and NY and those two teams haven't been very good at evaluating and developing talent lately. And after being a 5th pick that obviously disappointed, maybe he didn't get a fair shake in Orlando

like I said, I have no issue with him taking Turner's minutes. It's just that after Turner, I'm cynical about a point-forward role

as is being discussed in another thread, my preference right now is that Portland rescinds the QO to Layman and fill out the roster by signing a PG and a big
I think Point forward is an extremely vital role in todays game, like I don't think you can have a contender without a Forward who can handle the ball, initiate the offense, orchestrate an offense push the ball up the court, and if they can shoot that helps too.
I dont question the roles importance, I would question if Mario’s the right guy, I think we saw ET was not the right guy.

I have been in favor of an extra pg as well. Having said that I do like the idea of a Mario, Hood, Simons, Zach, and either Tolliver or Skal 2nd unit.
Lot of shooters and 3 decent ball handlers

He actually had good numbers the last 3 games playing point forward for the Knicks. I believe that what he do for the 2nd unit and play the 4 on defense.

The Hezonja i watched in Barcelona and Croatian national team didn't play the point. If he grew up doing it in high school cool but you can hear similar stories about guys like AD etc. He is far from Turner in playmaking skills. Turner could be a full time playmaker, his issues were other things. Hezonja cannot run a team. To share some ball handling responsibilities yeah, but not run a team. Not like Turner did last season. Lets hope Simons, CJ and Hezonja can all do their part.

I guess one good thing is that if Hezonja blows up and becomes a Green-like PointF, Portland will have the space next summer to re-sign him

By the end of the year, who will be the "Toni Kukoc will wish he was as good as Super Marior" poster? @SwishMario

If Hezonja really is 240, then he becomes a real option at the four, maybe even as a starter. I know his best minutes so far have come at the four in Orlando, I just don’t know how we’d do on the boards as he’s pretty weak in that department. The potential playmaking out of the position is really intriguing though.

I've seen three different spellings on this board. I'm pretty sure it's 'Hezonja'.

What I want to know is, how do you pronounce his name?

So where did the 240 number come from? 15 lbs would be a big jump from his last listing. I hope it is true because he does not look over weight. But I am also skeptical

We signed him. His name will be what we say it is!
