Hola! What happened while I was gone? What's the story with Krstic?

Krstic is about to become a Thunder in an hour or so.

Yea YI is not havin a good season overall but let's not put losses on the kid. especially in that Bulls game, he was hardly out there but let's blame him anyway.... i'm rooting for YI to improve but i'm not gonna write off him or any other player for that matter who hasn't been given a fair amount of opportunity... want to discuss how his D is bad? it's weak yes, but he's gettin no help at all, that goes for the whole team... err!!!

TANK THE FRANK! there has been ZERO growth and even in rebuilding mode, we as viewers would tend to see IMPROVEMENT! i would not be surprise we lose to the Thunder...

now anytime someone complains about Yi, the new plan is to blame Frank. Yet Frank is the one who starts him and tells him to miss all the shots and tells him to let his man fly right by him. What is Frank thinking??

Right on spot. I LOLed actually.
I wonder, how many games (minutes?) would Yi start under the likes of Don Nelson?

I already told you guys, Yi isn't a shooter, he can't hit a fucking shot beyond 10 feet, he isn't a shooter in china, his shot is the worse in china nation team, why does he suddenly can shot in NBA? he is a center, he can rebound, he can draw foul, he can put back, he can dunk, he can run the break, he can turnaround jump shot, he can layup, but all this things just work within 10 feet.

Yes, Yi maybe finally become a great PF, but I don't know how many time it would take, he play pf in china nation team, but his game improve very very very slow, I don't think he can play pf good in NBA.

Which is a major problem since he lacks the physical approach and aggressive nature to flourish within 10 feet.

you make a decent point, but why are people under the impression that Frank is somehow "forced" to start Yi and give him minutes?

I think some of it comes down to Yi being the major deal breaker in trading off Jefferson...if he doesn't play Yi enough to improve or benches him to early it gives off the impression that they aknowledge that the deal was a flop and didn't get anything of value in return. By playing Yi...he's hoping he adjusts and proves that it wasn't so lopsided

Actually, the main reason is frank don't want him play in the post, when he go down low, no one pass him the ball.

Utter bullshit. He is hitting better than 40% from beyond the arc. He wasnt a shooter in China. Big deal. He is a shooter now.

I wanted Yi to play in the post too before, but that's not realistic right now. Yi is terrible at finishing around the basket, he just lacks confidence in general. If he's going to get better, it will start with knocking down open shots more consistently, then he will have some confidence going to the hoop.

so train him hard, let him buck up like Dwight Howard.:pimp:

lol....Howard is an utter BEAST!!! It would take two Yi's and double the gym time to equal one bicep....lol

But on the real...it's not that he doesn't have the willingness to play inside, just some players are equiped to do it on a nightly basis.

And you right...who would be able to pass it inside to him?...lol

So you are saying Nets have already realized that the trade is lopsided and only playing Yi to not make themselves look foolish?

no, no, no....lol....I'm saying that to some it might look that way...I think he's playing Yi to give him minutes to develop. Quit trying to key in on things to start arguments....:devilwink: The question I responded to was, "...but why are people under the impression that he is forced to start Yi ?" I was giving a possible reason why some might think he is

I got you man.

Actually, Yi play not so bad in this game, he play a good third quarter, frank even cheer with him in timeout, I say it again, Yi's defense is far from poor, if you don't agree, you can ask frank through media or reporter, I think frank would give you another version answer, coach's angle always different.

If you say Yi isn't a good player right now, I agree, but he isn't that bad actually, he just isn't a star right now, he is a not so bad not so good player, he has some advantage but you guys select pass it, he has some shortcomings you guys select to blame him hard, it just what i saw.

he is tall, he is quick, he can jump, he has a not so bad touch, so if he not so lazy, he would always give the team some help instead of harm, I am very very very sure that, you guys just need to be patient and be objectivity, Yi maybe never become a great player, but there is no way he would be a garbage.

Aside from the obvious "OMG WHERE'S RJ?!?!!?!?!" problem with Yi, my biggest issue is with the fact that, no matter how well he plays, he's going to cost too much to re-sign, because of his crazy Asian fanbase. Once he hits FA, he's just not going to be a good bargain anymore, at least as far as the product ON the court goes.
