His FG% may be bad, but his TS% is significantly better, thanks to his ridiculously efficient foul shooting.

Reminds me of a post I made a while ago in response to Mediocre Man's statement that Crawford was the most selfish player he's ever seen.
I really wanted to argue with MM, so I did a search on guards based on Crawford's USG%, AST%, FG%, and FGA/36. There has never been a guard to play more than 36 games in a season with numbers as bad and selfish as what Crawford's putting up.

Well I'm gonna forgive the dude.

"Honestly, that was part of the reason I signed," Crawford said of taking and making big shots. "I thought that was (one) of the things I could help with, especially losing Brandon (Roy). So far I've been in this situation twice and I feel awful (about) missing that shot (in Dallas). Those are shots I hit. Hopefully Rip City will forgive me a little after tonight."

At least he knows and accepts responsibility for his poor play. That is classy!

TS% is better indicator, also due to the number of 3-pointers Crawford takes. That moves him up from 48th to 31st. Still not good, but better.

I also noticed there are some pretty good players on that list, including a couple Hall of Famers. But, it's also full of unrepentant chuckers like Antoine Walker and Ricky Davis. Other than perhaps lifetime earnings, I don't think I'd want to be on any list that features those two guys. At least I'll never be on the list of fat old guys playing in the D-League because they pissed away $100 million, like Antoine Walker.

Actually TS% is heavily influenced by free throws as well as 3s. If you want to look at the impact of 3 point% then eFG% is probably a better indicator but I forgot to include it in the search criteria (but his 32% mark isn't all that great).

Yep, that's what I was trying to say by agreeing with B-Roy's quote about Crawford's efficient FT shooting. TS% is the best overall indicator of shooting efficiency as it includes ALL shots and rewards good 3-point shooters as well as guys who draw fouls and make their FTs.
