Baze and a protected 1st for Gallo - get er done Neal!Gallo as a pick and pop threat for Dame is just nasty. But he'd be overqualified for that role here
I'd do it!Baze and a protected 1st for Gallo - get er done Neal!
he'd be a great fit regardless of the Zach injury, with Zach possibly out for a while it makes even more sense, this is a win now team for the next several yrs, we have plenty of coverage at SG/SF with Mario and Rodney and Ant, Gallo would IMO be a great add at PFI'd do it!

NBA Rumors: Danilo Gallinari ‘Would Be Easier To Acquire’ For Trail Blazers Than Kevin Love, Per ‘ESPN’
If you can't defend them, Outscore them!Excellent!!!....another defensive stopper.

Rumor: Blazers expected to make run at Danilo Gallinari, despite Carmelo Anthony signing
Probably much less money for the Blazers to shell out..I’d take Gallo over Kevin Love.
Hard to outscore 150 points a night, but let's give it a try!If you can't defend them, Outscore them!
Dame
CJ
Gallo
Melo
Love
He would be an upgrade over Carmelo, but will have the same defensive weaknesses. We need better athletes than Danilo.
I don't think he will be available for MLE anyway.
I do. The only playoff team that currently projects to have cap space are the Heat. A rebuilding team isn’t going to sign Gallinari, and from what Gallinari has stated to Italian media, he is looking to play for a winner anyway. My guess is unless Miami prioritizes him, he will sign with another playoff team for the MLE. Heard Dallas almost traded for him, so maybe that’s an option.
As for fit, I agree, he’s pretty much an upgraded version of Melo. Not what we need to spend the majority of our money on right now.
Dame/SimonsWe have the MLE, not a max contract to offer.
We are the francuise Hedo Turkoglu, Spencer Hawes and Chandler Parsons use to get contracts from other teams. Then we have to spend 70 million for a backup like Evan Turner.
Who do you think is this superior value the Blazers can sign for the MLE?
I'd be super excited if we could sign Gallo, it'd probably be on of our best free agent signings since Jimmy Jackson or Detlef Schrempf. That is both exciting and pathetically sad.
