Hillary Clinton has officially chosen Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her running mate. A somewhat safe but smart choice.

I have nothing against him, but he's not the uber-lefty I was hoping for.

There must be money in it for the Clintons, somehow.

He's gonna appeal to southern democrats, mainly Florida, the Carolinas, and his home state.

He's going to help Hillary win Virginia, and because of that maybe the election. The last four elections whoever has won Virginia has won the election.

The last poll in VA of likely voters is a tie.

Trump's selection of Pence was so safe and non-descript, Clinton didn't think she needed to take a risk, so she took the safest of the main choices on her list. I think Kaine is a better pick mostly because he's from a battleground state, whereas Pence is from Indiana...if Indiana becomes a battleground state, Trump has already lost and the question will only be "by how much?"

Pence may help him win the rust belt.

Pence was picked to run the country. Like Obama, Trump has no experience in the executive branch of a state or federal government.

I think Pence is meh. Kasich, the only republican I actually liked out of all of them, turned it down.

Kaine won his senate seat bu 224K votes out of 3.8M.

If Trump wins, Paul Ryan will "run the country" isofar as Trump lets anyone else's philosophies dictate. Pence was really just a bone Trump threw to the Republican establishment.

It doesn't work that way. Obama had Rahm Emmanuel and Biden to negotiate the bills he wanted with congress. Rahm from the House, Biden from the Senate.

Rahm did for the country what he's done for Chicago. Nobody after he left the White House did any better.

Republican politicians seem to be hoping/betting that Trump will be malleable in office, lacking any major convictions of his own. That may or may not be true. If it is true, the one doing the molding will be Paul Ryan, the recognized thought leader for the GOP. It's his agenda that the Republicans want at all costs. If it isn't true, I really don't see Pence being that effective in whipping support for a "Trump agenda" if it doesn't comport with the Ryan agenda. Not for any particular failing in Pence, just because the Republican Senate and House are very set on their agenda and have no great love for Trump overall (obviously, some do but they seem to be a decided minority and aren't the leaders of either body).

How much longer do you think this country will survive under uber left policies? You do know that 19T is how far down the tube we are? That is way down there, perhaps too far too come back.

You underestimate him. You're not alone.

He is clearly good at game theory and managing money. If he is elected and is good for real estate, everyone who owns a home will gain wealth. If that's all he does, it's a decent win.

I don't think Obama's guys did well at getting ObamaCare done, but it did get done. It's all he basically got done. Reid wrote the bill without public option while Barry was out telling everyone it was in there. The "you can keep your doctor " whopper, too.

He basically gave up and hired a finance guy to deal with the fed (so interest rates wouldn't eat up the whole budget for the payments), and then a military guy so he could go on the warpath. All the while, Biden relegated to ogling and feeling up women at ceremonies.

I'm pretty sure the wall will get built. Trump is not the first republican to want to do so, and there's already walls in a lot of places along the border. I see one of those walls too often.

Do you really think The guy went to all this trouble, using his own nickle, at the age of 70, just to let Ryan fart around?
Ryan fumbled his first carry.

This guy was picked because Virgina has a Democrat Governor which will appoint another Democrat to the Senate.
If Hillary had selected the Cherokee Lady, then the Republican Governor of Massachusetts would replace her with a Republican in the Senate.

Her choices were real limited because there aren't many Democrat Governors.

Predicting a Clinton victory I see.

Uh, ok. You know that that happened under Obama, right? Home values have gone up. So I guess we can declare Obama's presidency a success now?

Why would Trump be good for real estate values? His experience as a real estate developer doesn't mean he has any special powers to increase the value of your house. He didn't built your house and put TRUMP in big gold letters on it, did he?

barfo

an uber left candidate would

stop drone strikes on civilians
end perpetual war
refuse to support saudi arabia and other human right violators
shrink our prison system
drastically shrink our military
close Guantanamo
legalize marijuana
enact universal healthcare
repeal the bush era tax cuts
make college free
break up the big banks
give citizenship to illegals
repeal the patriot act
end corporate welfare
kill the tpp, nafta, etc

do you think any of this is happening under obama? or clinton?

tell me, seriously, what in the actual fuck are you talking about? people are so goddamn brainwashed, it is actually pathetic.

absolutely fucking pathetic.
