Politics Hillary Clinton says Tulsi Gabbard is a 'Russian asset' groomed to ensure Trump reelection

Jill response, is right freaking on!

"In light of the latest slanderous allegations from @HillaryClinton, I challenge her to a debate. It's past time to give the American people the real debate they deserved in 2016, but were denied by the phony DNC/RNC-controlled Commission on Presidential Debates," Stein wrote in a series of tweets. "It's a shame HRC is peddling conspiracy theories to justify her failure instead of reflecting on real reasons Dems lost in 2016. You can slander progressives as 'Russian assets,' but you can't hide the fact that the DNC sabotaged Sanders & elevated Trump to set the stage for HRC."

Love bass fishing. Pound for Pound a great fighting fish.
Easy to unhook too.
Pound for pound, the best fighting fish is the steelhead. First they're very difficult to catch. Second they're just as difficult to land. Third they can leap right out of the water. Fourth I've caught a steelhead in water so shallow that it barely covered the steelhead's back, now how cool is that.

There's another way to look at the 2016 election. More voters wanted Hillary, by a margin of Millions, than wanted Trump. That's hardly a total failure.

She failed in the red zone!

CNN political commentator Van Jones echoed Gabbard's argument on-air, and called out Clinton's "disinformation" -- saying "she just came out against a sitting U.S. congresswoman, a decorated war veteran, and someone who's running for the nomination of our party, with just a complete smear and no facts."

Jones continued: "This is a very, very dangerous game -- and there's a backstory here. Let's not forget: Tulsi Gabbard was picked out by the Democratic Party establishment and put at the top of the DNC, and they thought she was going to be their golden girl. And, she got in that position in the DNC, and she looked around, and she saw [then-DNC Chairwoman] Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and other people, Clinton allies, doing stuff they shouldn't have been doing in the primary.

"And, Tulsi publicly quit and then endorsed Bernie Sanders, and it's been payback hell ever since," Jones said.

I think there is a bit more going on here than just 'payback'. Tulsi will either disappear or prove Clinton right, as there is zero chance that she wins the Democratic party nomination. Nor is she a possibility for a VP pick. Or a cabinet position, except maybe in a Yang or Sanders administration.

Yeah, she won’t win the nomination but I don’t see her disappearing but She has exposed Hillary for what’s she been all along, someone that doesn’t mind going over or through who’s ever in her way.

Yeah, Hillary murders anyone who gets in her way.

Tulsi hasn't exposed anything except herself. No one's opinion of Hillary - good, bad, or ugly - was changed by this episode.

I note that both Tulsi and Jill Stein have gone on Tucker Carlson in the last couple of days to deny the charge. Why Tucker's show exactly?

I mean, very very few Democratic primary voters watch Tucker, so if you were Tulsi and you were actually trying to win the nomination...

Just to play DA. Maybe it's so they can make the argument that CNN and other left-leaning places won't let them on because of Hillary, that it's part of the 'conspiracy' against them?

So your ok with Clinton making serious allegations publicly without any evidence to back it up publicly. And they both have been on other networks and I glad they aren’t being intimidated by her. When other ladies were making accusations about her husband she was quick to use the media and say they were making things up and zero evidence.
When a trump spews hate and accusations about people without evidence I view it the same way. They are both power hungry get out of my way individuals.
HRC can do wrong.

Yeah, maybe. But once again, is 'CNN is biased against me' a winning argument for Democratic party voters?

It seems to me that's just another hint that the audience she's trying to reach is not Democrats at all.

I don't know the answer to this, but has she been on other platforms? I mean taking an interview in a right-wing place doesn't necessarily mean that, that is the only thing she did today...

I would guess it’s a case of only option available. The main lefty news outlets are busy full time with the Trump roast and providing coverage for the top Democratic contenders. They aren’t wasting airtime on something that takes away from that and potentially makes Hillary look loonier than usual. Fox, OTOH, is more than willing to play up fun Dem in-fighting and flaming Hillary.

I look at any democratic politician going on Fox news as a good sign...shows a willingness to work across the aisle...I don't see Trump doing any CNN interviews

Oh, Fox is definitely happy to do it. The question is, why is Tulsi happy to do it.

There are about a dozen other non-frontrunners in the race, I don't see them lining up to appear on Tucker Carlson's show.

I don't think attention-seeking is the same thing as bipartisanship.

I honestly don't know much about Tulsi..I've heard her speak one time in an interview....if she is not a double agent ruskie spy, it's a bold move to go right to the biggest bonehead on Fox and dare him to be even dumber than he is already

If you’re trailing as far as she is, there’s no such thing as bad publicity. She’s got to get as much mileage out of this fifteen minutes as she can. Raise enough stink on Fox and maybe the story gains traction elsewhere?

Or maybe she’s jockeying for the fair-and-balanced token Dem slot post election campaign.

You would want a 58 year old Hillary Clinton fighting in the war?
No, but she could’ve voted against it. She could also refrain from smearing veterans of the wars she helped start.

So her one vote caused us to go to war? U don't think so. Didn't we have a republican majority then as well as a republican president? Why blame one person? That would be like me blaming you for trump if you voted for him.

Never said any of those things. Once again you’re twisting my words to favor your argument.
