Also, when Round 2 begins, are you going to delete all the Round 1 threads to clear up space and avoid having a cluttery mess? I really think you should create a subforum titled "JBB Keystyle Torunament" or something like that and put all the threads in there.

People are creating threads in the general hiphop forum as well and all in all, there are 50 000 threads going around. I think it would help if we organized the tourney threads in a tourney sub-forum.

Umair, you weren't that bad for your first time. Just work on it and don't worry what these guys are saying.
 
OK apparently there are some haters here like Locke and Junoon.. Who just dont understand that it was my first time freestyling. I dont care if I sucked, it was my first time. And I think for a first timer, I did prety good against a Pro. Thanks MrJ and Swish

Just my opinion, but that was one of the best you've written so far. You had some wicked punchlines in there (I liked the Air Stale one).

No, dude, I'm not a hater, trust me. When I first started writing raps, my rhymes were horrible, and my lyrics didn't make much sense. I'd just rhyme whatever I could. Basically the key is, first of all, you get better the more you write (like anything else) and 2nd, learn how other writers write thier lines as well. For example, if you really want to get better for next tourney, study how the consensus favourites (Chutney, MrJ) write thier lines and just look what what kind of punchlines they use, etc etc. And if it was your first time freestyling, like MrJ said, why would you need to be ashamed? I don't hate on anyone dude, I just joke around and you gotta understand that. I have nothin against you.
 
Swish, I felt your first verse was actually stronger then your 2nd but both were pretty nice nonetheless.
 
Swish turned that George Mason line around nicely. Wish it rhymed a little better though.

This is funny. You say that you sucked your first time and were horrible and all. Then why being so hard on me if it is my first time? Why saying my lines are crappy and all if its my first time. You sucked your first time, just like me. So would you like it if people made fun of your lines your first time? No right? Then stop being hard on me. Well if you are joking, then its all good..

The thing is though in my first verse I said I was gonna make it past the final 4 inplying that i wouldn't be beat by Florida. So he didn't really turn it around.

Damn guys, major props to both Swish and Air Fresh. You guys are absolutely killing it in the wild card battle. It's just sad that only one can advance

Wtf are you talking about kid? There hasn't been a time when I blatantly said you suck, if you've read any of my posts. I always made jokes, doesn't mean I'm being "hard" on you, chill the **** out.
Not only me, EVERY member who's visited the tourney has made jokes about you and vcwannabe so far, some way harsher then any jokes I've made about you guys.

And about my first time, you're damn right people made fun of me...in fact even I made fun of myself for my own rhymes. So why the hell are you being so damn sensitive about it? It's a damn hiphop tourney on a basketball board for god's sake, it's all for fun..what do I care how you rap like? If your rhymes are funny I'll tell you they're funny. If your rhymes don't make sense, I'll tell you they don't make sense, I'm not gonna beat around the bush. What the hell did you want me to do, say your rhymes are sick when they obviously weren't? I told you you can improve and you come snapping back for no reason.

You need to understand what you're arguing back about because I don't think you realize at this point whether someone is kidding or not, or trying to help you or not for that matter.

You got to develop a tougher skin than that. You're not the only person who was rapping for the first time, and you're not the first who's been made fun of the first time they try something. You can either sit here and whine about all these people hating on you, or get over it and come back in the next tournament looking to prove them wrong.

Alright guys, chill. Umair, this is just a game, so dont take anything personally. Nobody is trying to hurt you in anyway. They are just making jokes. If you don't like it, I suggest you to not respond to those lines. You're only making matters worse

Umair I'll give you credit for competing as an MC but stop fishing for complements, nobody else is doing it so why should you? Are complements the only things that will make you keep writing lyrics? Just keep working at it and I'm sure you'll get better, thus complements will come left, right and center.

I'm going to run a losers bracket, so what should the losers bracket seed be like.

Here's the 8: Loser of Wildcard gets #1 seed, then the next 7 are these guys

J_Ray, phunDameltalz, Umair15, Best Kept Secret are the the 4 losers, so we have 3 spots left and there's 3 that didn't get to participate, so I'll take Remedy, Yugo, and VC if he still wants to take a crack at it or Shard.

Rank the guys 2-8 for seedings and consider the VC and Shard spot as 1 person.
