I see you stopped drinking your Kool Aide.^^^...yup, and the sad thing is that because of foolish contract moves by management, we've been forced to watch a lesser quality Yanx team than we are accustomed.

I see you stopped drinking your Kool Aide.![]()
J&B??? What the hell is that Ron never heard of it....lol...yeah, I switch to beer/wine/J&B on the weekends.

I'm not a big fan of hard liquor just wine and an occasional mixed drink like a Margarita....Rick is correct...J & B (Justerini & Brooks) is my fav scotch...they also make a single malt called Knockando...great stuff, but pricey as hell.
... "So now it's J & B, and me,
That sounds close,
but it ain't the same ..."
What is Patron??? I never heard of that either. lol^^^I don't drink hard liquor very often either...and if I do, it's typically J& B or Patron'.
Ron I agree, Planing on a player that MANY teams will be looking at a few years from now (Harper) had absolutely NOTHING to do with the team not pulling the trigger on any big name FAs. $37M comes off the books after this season on just Tex & Beltran alone so I do see more movement on FAs in 2017.
Yep, that's Pretzel Logic alright, and makes no sense to me, neither....part of my disgust with the way the current roster is constructed is that because of poor contracts handed out in the past are now ham-stringing the Yanx. The ONLY reason they did not pursue the type of impact FAs they might have is because in most cases there was no place to put them because of so many current roster spots tied up by Tex, ARod, CC, Beltran, and to a degree, Headley and Ellsbury whose contracts will also look bad going forward.
...and Cashman's claim that "the plan" was to get younger and more athletic is in a way, a red herring....I mean, realistically, by default, the team had to get younger no matter what moves were made because they were so damned old to begin with...after Mo and Jeter retired the team was still left encumbered with other aging vets who were locked in to ill-advised contracts. (ARod, Tex, CC, and Beltran)...so again, just about any new player acquisition would result in the team's average age dropping.
...and will the "experts" please just stop with "the Yanx are just laying low so they can land Bryce Harper 3 years from now " BS ?
1. they act as if the Yanx would be the only team with a chance to sign him
2. they think the Yanx are putting the team's current plans on hold for a player they may or may not sign 3 years from now?
...this kind of twisted logic is dumb founding to me.
...^^^hey, I have some coupons...maybe I'll get 2 pair...a pair of the rose colored ones and a pair of the pinstriped ones.

Its great to be a glass half fill type of fan but when it comes to this team you just can't ignore the cracks in that glass.

Judging from your response as you mentioned me being a glass half full type of fan - and then pointing out cracks in that "glass"....... What shall we say about "cracks" in the glasses of some of the Yanks' competition?
Yanks had the FOURTH BEST RECORD in the league last year......certainly nothing to brag about from the Yankee franchise......but can we cut out the bullshit about this team being hopeless, mediocre and "pathetic" as Matt has said?
And if you aren't aware of some of the very talented skilled position players in the Yankee system, you better ask someone...lol.
Yanks are primed for another chance of putting forth another consistent WS contender IF NOT THIS YEAR than within one or two seasons as those talented young minor leaguers progress simultaneously as the Yanks drop 45-85 mil from the payroll.......
.....Yankee franchise is ON schedule.
