When Kiki Vandeweghe drafted Julius Hodge for the Nuggets in 2005, he saw the 6′-7″ Hodge as a tall point guard, maybe a point forward. George Karl didn’t. Now, Hodge, scanning the Nets’ roster, knows what he has to do. So he’s been studying tape of great point forwards: Paul Pressley, Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway. It’s more than a learning experience. It’s survival.

We've all pretty much been expecting this. I like the guy, hopefully the Nets bring him on. I'm sure he's at least passable as a third string PG, and come on, it's just third string. Might as well get a guy who's got something to prove, AND can play other positions in a pinch.

im rootin for him to make the team... hes worked hard

It would be smart to have as much depth as possible for PG.

Wait, I love the sound of all this...but who is the 2nd String PG? Is it sooo off-season that I have forgotten?

Maybe b/c I see him as a 1-2 more than a 1. Either way, I forgot, sorry. Football in my brain. Thanks

Yeah, I see him as that too. But I think it's going to be mostly him and Vince handling the ball when Harris is out of the game.

We don't really have a true "1" anymore. All the guards on our roster are "shoot first". Dooling fits right in.
In a way it makes me pessimistic about the upcoming season. Shoot first guards and no dominant, demanding the ball post player. Sounds like Chicago Bulls or the Bucks.
